I have a paddle boat that gets too heavy to lift when it fills with rain. I decided to tie the boat up to prevent it filling with water. Plain rope could not hold up the boat in heavy winds so I tied these tie down straps. That are easy to use, also easy to open, and have securely secured the boat through even higher winds we have had recently.

I use small to medium hand trucks to move equipment including guitar and keyboard amplifiers and active and passive loudspeakers for medium-sized club gigs. These are perfect for securing such a load. They are quick to use and do the job. If you are constantly moving such equipment as I have, you won't need the ratchet straps. They are too fussy to deal with when you are trying to set up a sound reinforcement quickly for a gig. They won't work on something like a refrigerator or a four drawer filing cabinet that's full of documents, but for smaller lighter stuff it's just the right thing.

I was worried the buckles would be cheesy plastic ones that would not grip. But the buckles are great. Metal with spring loaded grippers. Happy with they way they work. Holding a tall 25 gallon water tank in the corner for a horse trailer. It needs to work and it works fine.

They were exactly as described.

Theyre easy to use and wrap your material with and they hold tight. For me I use these to bundle the ends of lumber loads in my truck so it stays together around turns and whatnot. These are easier to use than the last pair I had and since I use them frequently I dont want something that takes a while to strap and then remove.

I purchased this product to bundle our ice fishing tent which is quite large. Especially at the end of the day when it's time to pack up on the ice, using these straps are so quick and easy. They are much more durable than the straps that came with the tent. I highly recommend.

I was removing a large heavy TV that was wall mounted quite high. I had built a simple scaffold out of 2x4's to tilt it down to the floor, and used these straps to secure the TV to the scaffold. They did their job very well. The locking clamps are stronger than they look.

The two RIO tie down straps I received had metal buckles, which means that there's less chance of the buckles breaking. The buckles do not have a spring, so the only thing keeping an item in place are the buckle's teeth. I've used the RIO tie-down straps to secure large items, weighing under 200 lbs, to a hand truck/dolly and they've worked flawlessly. The simple design of these straps means that they can be used to quickly and easily to secure an item. The simple design also means that they can just as easily be removed. I would definitely NOT recommend using these 1-inch wide straps for securing an item to the roof of your car. To state what should be obvious, these straps are not designed to be subjected to high aerodynamic stresses.
