Eating a part of history 😊
It’s so cool to be able to eat these. I’m a huge WW2 nerd. They taste good and seem to give a nice little caffeine lift. 👍🏽

Don’t try them before bed!
Wasn’t sure what to expect with these as I had never tried anything with kola/cola nut in it but it taste like there is coffee in the chocolate. You definitely get a caffeine hit off of a piece. Was a nice surprise to see there are 2 of the segmented discs in the tin separated by a piece of paper rather the one always shown in stock photos. There is a useful amount of chocolate in it-have only tried the milk chocolate so far, expect the dark chocolate to be great as well. Not sure why I got them other than to see what all the fuss is about as they are legendary-they will definitely perk you up if you need a quick hit to stay awake. My only question is now they hold up to high temperature as these have been issued to German troops for decades, not much good if they melt in a pocket or in warm weather. I can easily see re-purposing the tins as well-very sturdy.

Excellent and durable
First time trying this. Like a fool I ordered it in August, in Kansas, during a heat wave. It spent 4 days on a truck in 120F heat. I thought for sure it would be melted and I'd have to re temper it. Much to my surprise it was fine. Great taste, texture, and quality German craftsmanship. Will buy again.

These were really good.
They were a big hit in my household. Shame I can only order them in the winter months, because they'll be soup by the time I get them any other time of the year where I live. :C

Amazing Chocolate
I liked both the dark (red tin) and milk (blue tin) chocolates. It's easier to notice the coffee in the milk chocolate, as the dark chocolate hides the coffee flavor a bit in my opinion. Scho-Ka-Kola is an interesting chocolate company from Germany, so the cost of this chocolate is understandable since it has to originally come from Germany for Americans to have this. I bought this chocolate during the summer, so I wasn't surprised that it melted during shipping. I just put the chocolate in my freezer to solidify it. At some point, I will get more of this chocolate but I'll probably wait till fall or winter. Shipping chocolate during the summer is a bit silly.

a fun novelty
too expensive to consume regularly. the dark chocolate has a much better flavor than the light stuff, its almost like a nestle chocolate vs hershes for the milk chocolate. mine came slightly deformed due to the heat during shipping but theres nothing that can be done about that. i still ate it and it was delicious. try some for yourself.
