I've tried a number of things over the years, and have settled on Protandim, Flexamin, and now, finally, I've added Nopal. The Flexamin dosage has been reduced by half - two per day, morning and evening - and I find I need fewer pain killers. Both the Protandim and the Nopal seem to augment the effects of the Flexamin - it used to be that I would assess activities by how many days of pain I would have to contend with after the act - now, although I still have pain while doing things, it is of much shorter duration, typically ending within minutes of the completion of the task. As an industrial maintenance technician, I can tell you this is huge. There are times when careful planning simply cannot eliminate the stress of the effort required, but now I know that the price I might pay in pain will be managable. Be sure to give this time to work - I take two tablets per day, with a full glass of water - as with all wellness-type products, you are seeking to build up a specific level in your body - results are not instantaneous. I have noticed that it does serve as an appetite suppressant of sorts - some things don't seem to taste quite the same as my memory says they should, but that's a good thing for me - I can stand to lose some weight. Oddly enough, healthier choices do appeal, while snack-type foods no longer do. I may eventually try this alone, eliminating the Protandim, as a much more affordable solution - I just hope the price remains reasonable. And as I understand it, once the functional level is achieved in the body, a lesser, maintenance dosage is recommended - apparently, less is more - and I hope that's the way of it!

I started taking this to help lower blood sugar. It will not drop your blood sugar by it’s self, but using this along with cutting carbs and sugar helped lower my blood sugar

I must have read a hundred or so items to control this hateful disease! I hate meds like other people. I want a cure for this inherited trouble maker. I am not obese. I am a regular lady 5'6. I weigh about 170. The fine Mexican folks told me about this cactus long ago and how it lowers your A1C. This cactus is used in their country long before these other drugs give you a pain in the butt. Their are no side effects what so ever. The cactus is taken with a meal and the sticky substance n the pedals keeps carbs from being absorbed into the blood. I take it in the morning, noon and at supper. So if you get off your butt take a 10 minute walk anywhere and use this cactus, you will thank me that you read this with great interest. Why wait for 10 yeas to go by and hope for a cure?
