Bannon Utility Trailer - 1,400-Lb. Capacity, 24 Cu. Ft.

The cart is the perfect size for what was needed. It fits all of my yard equipment and gas cans as I needed them to.It looked easy enough to put together until we got to the sides. Some of the bends are not the same bends as the other side. The tailgate is out of line because of the bends. They could have put welds on all of the corners so water doesn’t get in and rust it down the road.But it works for what I want it to do. Sturdy, and follow right behind my golf cart.

I wanted the 1600, but shipping was free for the 1400 (vs $450 for the 1600), and I knew from reading reviews that I was going to replace the tires (it's honestly shocking how bad they are, and that Bannon hasn't changed them), so I bought this one and converted it.The 1600 is $400 more, and obviously much of that is the 4 additional tires, so I googled 'bannon 1600 replacement parts' to see if I could buy the tandem axles and convert a 1400 into a 1600. Success!They're only $50 each from the Tricam (parent co) website, and I bought the tray and tray mat for an additional $40. (Also great to see that they only charge $40 if I ever need to replace one of the side or front/rear panels). I didn't need the chainsaw or long tool holders, but those are the only other differences between the two models.For tires, I saw that Polar sells a similar trailer that also uses 18 inch tires with a 1-inch axle (search "Polar trailer 10812 on Amazon), but uses a single 9.5 inch wide tire instead of the weird dual-skinny-wheel Bannon setup. Ordered four of those ($80 each), and they work perfectly (after adding some spacers). The best part is that the Polar tires are tubeless and also have sealed ball bearings, so you don't have to mess around with a grease gun (Bannon assembly instructions say to use two full 25oz tubes of grease to fill the eight hubs on their cheap toy tires).

It was relatively easy to assemble. As I was putting it together all I was thinking about is how easy it will be to store and maintain. The sides can be removed, and if necessary the wheels can also be moved too. There may eventually come a time when it will need to be painted and doing this will also be a simple and easy task.

I am very impressed with this trailer. It is much heavier duty than I had expected, which I am pleased with. Great quality, great stability. I am happy with this purchase.

Would have been 5 stars, but tires came flat and had to provide my own grease for wheels. For price should have at least sent a tube of grease with it. Other than that great cart.

I bought this Bannon trailer because it was a good starting point for Elk hunting, I specifically bought this one because it said it had a 1” axle, I was planning on using it for elk hunting and adding single UTV wheels and tires, however after putting it together I found the axle is not 1” but rather a metric size that measured 20 thousandth smaller than 1”. all the parts I was going to use won’t work, big bummer. Be aware of this if you need an axle that is 1” ,this is not. other than that this trailer is actually a nice trailer
