Diary of a Roblox Noob: Christmas Special (Video game book kids) Paperback – 12 Nov. 2018

I read this to my son who loves Roblox but isn’t always keen on story books. We had to skim a couple of pages as it talks about ‘murders’ and changing ’skins’ which was freaking him out a bit! Of course, in Roblox world, these don’t mean the same thing as in real life, but it’s still a bit heavy for bedtime reading! The plot is engaging enough for a young person but the book reads like an unedited first draft, which no one has bothered to proof read. There are so many mistakes with grammar and word order. The author is clearly writing in character and is American, but this is not what I’m referring to. Overall, it was an entertaining read but we’re not in any hurry to read it again.
