Easy to store
Good wee step ladder, a bit heavier than I would have liked but adds to the sturdiness of the item. The lock/unlock system seems a bit flimsy although I have had no trouble using these ladders and feeling completely safe

Solid and feels secure
Nice solid set of steps with a comfortable handle. It is not light weight but quite manageable for me. A more elderly person may struggle. Do make sure that the catch is properly engaged before using the steps. Just the right height for me to access the top of bookcases and the top shelf of wall-hung kitchen cabinets by using the top step. Due to the size of my rooms (small) I needed steps that backed directly to the kitchen counter or bookcases rather than being parallel to them. These steps back to them very neatly without leaving me failing to reach things. Standing on the top, ie second, step, it is not possible to also hold onto the handle and, although the handle provides some support to the legs, it feels unsafe to me if in the middle of the room although perfectly fine when using to reach into kitchen cabinets etc. I wouldn't use them in the middle of a room except on the bottom step - I have no head for heights at all - when they wouldn't be high enough for me (short person) to change a light bulb. Luckily I have a more bulky and taller 4 step ladder for that kind of thing which is, however, too big for getting into cabinets etc. Folds up and stores fairly unobtrusively.

They will do - need a bit of practice using them!
They arrived in good time. Quite a heavy box pair of steel steps with deep treads. I'm hoping that the plastic tread inserts will flatten, they have an uneven appearance at the moment. I'm hoping its not going to be a quality problem as these steps where at my high end of my budget. The rubber around the hooped top is good. The steps open well and stand flat well. The treads are good and wide. So, here's the tricky bit, there's a little gravity latch on the underside of the top most tread which locks the steps. Not sure how well thought out it is. Well for one its not described so it's the matter of wrestling with the steps to collapse them. And I do mean wrestle as there is definitely a knack to learn to unhitch it so you can get the steps collapsed. When you do the steps are actually really very flat to rest up against a surface nicely especially that you have the rubber grip covering. In operation, I found them a little awkward for me as the treads are not fixed they move and tilt a little when you step unto them, which made me a little unsteady and the handle was a little low for me to use to aid me. So I will need some practice. Also the top rubber covered hooped bar is actually a little too far away from the line of the treads which means I cannot easily use it as an additional support against my shins/legs. I'm hoping I can get on with it as it has some good points!

LA SCALETTA VA BENE, MI SEMBRA UN BUON PRODOTTO, HA UN BUON PUNTO DI APPOGGIO PER LE MANI. E' UN PO' PESANTE DA MANOVRARE. E' LA SOLUZIONE OTTIMALE PER PICCOLE ALTEZZE.
