High quality nickel anode. I use this when zinc plating motorcycle hardware. I don't know if it is me, but the hardware comes out a matte gray, but you can feel it is very smooth. A couple minutes spent buffing the part and it comes out nice and shiny. Not like chrome, but still very nice!!!

Nickel Plating Experiments.
Bought this to experiment with nickel electroplating. I never did it before and it was my first time. Plating has gone very well so far.Filled a clear plastic container with vinegar and mixed in a small spoonful of salt. Rigged up some alligator clips and wires to connect everything. For power I used a usb cell phone type charger rated at 5v 2amps. It seemed to take along time for the liquid to turn green and positive anode to completely dissolve, around 24hrs.I tried plating a few things and they have come out very good. Plating time takes not long at all, maybe a minute or two.

Works for DIY nickel plating
Bought this for a nickel plating some reloader components I was restoring and it worked great!Half of it was enough for over 40 sq inches of surface area on the parts.The dimensions were exactly as designed and it was cheap enough to dip my toes in the water.If you're looking to try a small plating project this will work perfectly.

Seems to be pretty pure. Worked great for my first time.
The media could not be loaded. This is my first time experimenting with electro plating.They worked. Lots of black sediments. Had to strain the solution I made (2 gallons) through a coffee filter before actually plating.Plating seems to be consistent and mirror like. I also have a small pond pump moving the fluid around to avoid that pitting look.I may try the round bar stock next time from the same seller.
