It's a clever tool
I've not done any lacing or splicing before. This little gadget worked great for end splicing the line on my boat!

OK but bad quality
Works fine but bad quality also it is hard to twist it in order to help pull. I suggest spending a little more and getting a Ronstan puller

Save your money
On the left is a Ronstan D splice kit needle for up to 2mm and same tool needle sized for 5mm and up in the center. On the far right we have the Marlow ropes Excel puller that states it is for “Very Small” rope? In comparison you can plainly see that it is as flimsy as it looks and the very stiff end in comparison to the main portion is stiff. So the hole is way larger than something I would consider “Very Small” measuring out to a full 1/4” meaning nothing smaller can be spliced with this tool. It is so flimsy it can not be easily pushed through even hollow core rope let alone a double braid. My opinion save your money and get a D Splice kit. It is robust and properly sized.I do everything from hammock ropes to boating sailing and even simple dog leash splices. I know what I’m doing in other words not a novice. I would choose a long apholstry needle over this tool any day. You could make one that’s better by twisting up some electric Hotwire fence wire. Been there and it works great in a pinch.

niente di che . fa il suo dovere ma a fatica.niente a che vedere con altri modelli un pelo più costosi, vale la pena farselo da soli con un fil di ferro.
