Pure Betaine Anhydrous Trimethylglycine (TMG) Powder by Muscle Feast (300 grams)

After years of struggling on and off with a massive meltdown following stressful events, research lead me to this product. I read that people with depression and anxiety, ocd, insomnia, etc create a buildup of homocysteine due to a gene mutation that prohibits the liver from functioning properly. TMG will actually help your body lower the homocysteine by attaching a methyl molecule to it so your liver can process it. I was in a really bad place. Anxiety attacks and not sleeping at all. It was physically impossible. After just the first day of taking this, I fell right to sleep and slept 7 hours! That's more than I had gotten the entire week! If you suffer from any mental health issues, try this. You're not crazy, your liver just can't cycle out the neurotransmitters like it should.

I use this supplement just about every day I sometimes add it to my pre workout and sometimes to my protein shake it actually tastes pretty good and it is good for you from what I have learned from my research.

Aweful smell... but that was expected. I'm not into nutrition and supplementation for flavor... I'm in it for RESULTS.My only beef with this product is that 1 serving is 1.5g.The scooper they give you holds over 3g worth of Betaine. So for people that don't know this... they may be overdosing.Please... if you are using supplements like powders... invest in a GRAM scale... down to the hundredths of measurements... they are worth it!Hopefully the company sees this and does something about the scooper they include. Or perhaps just give instruction on where/how to fill the scooper (maybe put a line on the scooper of a smaller one is hard to find?).1 star off for scooper... that's dangerous stuff right there...

I love TMG as it helps regulate my methylation. I did discover that if your methylation gets too high your t4 goes too high so I have dropped my dose. Helps my mood and energy leve. You shold note that TMG can reduce your bodies ability to produce glutathione which is it's own most important antioxident and is crucial to many functions of the body and broin. Glutathione supplements do not cross the blood brain barrier only the glutathione your body makes is able to cross. I take NAC to boost my glutathione production and love it.

I make my own preworkout and when I add this to my concoction it was a huge boost. My endurance when way up and I felt like I could go hard all day.

First off, I like this brand and have purchased at least one of their other supplements and liked it, but their TMG, AKA betaine anhydrous, is not up to par. Here's why I feel this way: I have been taking TMG for about 3 to 6 years now I have taken TMG sold by multiple brands over this time and some are definitely better quality than others. One way that I measure the quality is by how well it is milled - is it crystalline, clear and absent of odor or is it more opaque, chalky and smelly (fishy+urine)?As a mentioned, I've TMG issued by multiple different brands. Two brands that I personally belive offer a quality TMG, are Jarrow and Body Tech, a Vitamin Shoppe brand. The TMG from these two brands are are crystalline and absent any smell. Muscle Feast's TMG is more like a gritty, chalky powder with a combo fishy/urine smell to it. Undesirable.I have noticed that I do not seem to get all the same benefits that I've been accustomed to like a boost to NO² production and muscle fullness. What do notice is that it causes my sweat to smell fishy. Undesirable. I don't have the fishy-smelling sweat problem with Jarrow or Body Tech branded TMG. Foe anyobe who suffers from TMAU, I works advise trying a different brand of TMG. Otherwise, you'll wonder why your sweat smells like urine and fish. If you find that the cardio equipment near the one you're using is alway free... The worst part is that too many people suffering from TMAU, aren't able to smell their own foul odor, like a young man walked into a small gym, reeking of fish and urine, within 5 minutes of starting his warm up, which ran 2 other patrons besides myself, out if the gym. One woman came in shortly after he did, but could only stomach his fish and urine odor a couple minutes.I don't know who or where Muscle Feast sources their raw materials from for this product, but they may want to consider changing their source.

After being unable to find my usual brand, I ordered this one. Seems to be of decent quality.
