This was definitely a hit for both of my granddaughters. They spent hours and hours working on this together and discovering their treasures of fine stones, bones, and teeth. It was much more than expected. I would recommend this gift to any young Palentologist in the making. A great find and well worth every dime.

Not worth to buy it. Nothing special; a lot of small stones and sea glasses. a few of poor quality fossils (not real)

this is absolutely one of the coolest activities you can get for your adventurous child!!! my 6 year old son and some of his friends in the neighborhood had hours and days of fun excavating our yard to find real fossils and gemstones!!!!

Loaded with gems and fossils. EASY for smaller kids to use -- the sand comes very soft. If you like it harder for more of a challenge you can just expose it to air. This is a GREAT thing!
