I used these for the noise on the rideing mower and they work fine. They are soft and easy to get into your ears and really cut the noise leavel down but you can still hear what’s around you. I have them in for 4 hours at a time and had no pressure or discomfort. Nice earplugs . Would purchase again.

I've been trying to find the perfect earplug for sleeping. I have a new upstairs neighbor upstairs that gets up for work at 4am and is a pretty loud morning person. I've been on the hunt for plugs that i can put in at night that prevent her morning routine from waking me. After trying all the scientifically and aerodynamically designed loops and ovals and discs and everything else that I assumed would be superior I decided to give these a go just to see. Nothing else comes close to these in terms of comfort and noise blocking. Hands down.

I have been using earplugs to sleep for over 12 years now. Silicon, one time use, the ones people use to swim. Since the pandemic, I began playing with foam plugs. Once I learnt how to prep them, I could see how much more noise they can muffle or block. The Hearos 33db were my first choice. I bought the 100 pair pack. Only downside, the foam was too hard, it and was bruising my ear canal. Then I tried the same brand, the 32db, advertised as being softer and kinder on the ear canal. They were softer yes, but too soft, making them unable sit in tightly. Some noise would always creep in. So that takes me to this product. Mack’s Maximum Protection Soft Foam Earplugs 33db. I took the plunge. And I'm glad I did! They are soft enough and the same time, functional enough to block more than any brand I ever used. Some people use silicon reusable plugs. They don't muffle like foam. That is a fact. There really is no equivalent to know that you shall get a sound, restful, noise free sleep.

These work well but are too large for my ear canals. They are thick and do reduce more sounds than their other models, but couldn’t wear nightly as it irritated my ear canals.

After trying several brands, these are by far the ones that work for me. I'd give these Mack's more of 4.5 stars. The plugs don't completely block out all noises, but rather muffles out 70-80%. You can still hear a little bit of banging and clanging indoors. However, the plugs do completely block out the otherwise annoying humming noises from ceiling fans, loud fridge/freezer, and loud indoor A/C and outside A/C ground unit. These are the annoyances that have been plaquing my sleeping for a long time. Now, these Mack's max protection do the job well of blocking out those noises so I can get the restful sleep. Surprisingly, these also muffle out noises from my hard soles flip-flop sandals on hardwood flooring. Every plug fits right and doesn't fall out or loosen during sleep; whereas other brands I've bought do loosen out. These actually last a few weeks of usage per pairs as well. What I also like is these plugs also muffle out the outside neighbor noises and the loud and otherwise disturbing modified car mufflers and louder motorcycles like Harley. My husband snores loudly. These are the best, softest ear plugs I’ve ever bought! I’ve been using earplugs for about 10 years now, nightly. I’ve tried name brands, drugstore brands, other Mack types, some fancy sound-engineering brand (pricey and painful), some blue ones I wish I remembered the brand because they were pretty good, but none as good as these orange ones. They squish easily into the ear and expand softly. I’m a side sleeper and have no pain with them (which I did with some others). These are also the ones that silence snoring the best. Other reviewers complained about some earplugs arriving all squished and they threw them away. Don’t! Yes, the manufacturer put way too many earplugs in such a small bottle, but I left the 5 squished/misshapen ones on my night stand to rest and re-shape themselves all night. Next morning they were as sponge-y as the rest. Also, I think some people don’t know that they are not meant to fit all ears straight from the package. My ear canals are short. If I try to put an ear plug as it comes it will pop right out cause it’s too long. So I cut about an 1/16 - 1/8 inch with scissors and perfect! They fit, they don’t fall out in the middle of the night, they don’t get lost in my ear. I’m showing how much I cut in the pic. I love these earplugs.

Some interior sounds, such as occasional knocking, are still noticeable, but they completely eliminate the annoying whirring of ceiling fans, refrigerators, freezers, and indoor and outdoor air conditioning units. These sounds were the ones that disrupted my rest the most, and with these earplugs, I've been able to sleep much better. One detail that surprised me is that they even reduce the noise of my own sandals when walking on hardwood floors. Plus, the fit is excellent: they don't loosen or fall out during the night, unlike other brands I've tried. Each pair lasts me several weeks of continuous use, which is also a plus in terms of durability.

If you ride a motorcycle, do test them out before hopping on the bike. On occasions you'll get a plug that lets in more noise than the other. Might not be noticeable until you fire up the bike or start riding down the road.

These provide slightly lower noise isolation on a motorcycle when compared to Honeywell earplugs. These are slightly smaller in width compared to those, but are comfier to wear for extended periods.
