wow very powerful, very bright
i install this 48"beamswork hi lumen light today on my new 90 gallons aquarium 4feets x 18inch x 24 inch tall with a glass topmy tank had the marineland 48" singlebright on it and wanted to see if i would have more light,..so i left the 2 of them on the top to compare,... well it's not even comparable,.. there is alot more light with this new light in the 2 mode, daylight or moonlight. Also the light is much more whiter than the marineland, the beamswork is 10000k vs around 6400k for marineland,.. and there is no darker spot's in the tank,at first when i put the new beamswork on, the fish(african cichlids) all went hidding, but after a few minutes they came back out,.. their colors is nicer with this lights,.. i just hope its not to much light for them,..other than that, both lights looks the same when there not on, almost the same size, except the marineland is really 48" wide vs beamswork is a little more than 47" but not 48(the light fixture itsself but it has ajustable metal legs that goes way more than 48"). nice finish for both of them,.. well except that on the marineland you see some wires near the lights led lense vs the beams work you dont see any,..it's been a few weeks now, it's still work perfectly,.. i know this review is about beamswork,.. but the marineland led light have a curve shape now,(it's benting in the middle) the center is almost toutching the glass canopy vs the beamswork it's still straight,.. still looks newEDIT : i bought this light system in oct 2013 and now in april 2014 it still work like a new one, all led are working, no problem at all. Each time(every week) i clean my tank i remove the light system from the top to have better acces and i put it on the floor and all of those movements did not affected the light system at all, very well builtEDIT : jun 2014 the light still works like a new one, not one single problem.march 2016 : the light still works like a new one, not one single problem.

Amazing value. Extremely bright!
This light is amazing! I was slightly skeptical at first just because of how reasonably priced it is compared to other comparable aquarium lights. But it has impressed me! And the best part!!! It grows algae like wildfire. Literally set up the tank, got the light three days later. I've had it on the tank for maybe three weeks and there is algae on everything. Which shocked me for an L.E.D. light. But I love it! Totally worth it

Great LED light
A very good basic LED light system. I have a 75g tank. This lights it up very well. The price is well below others in the market, and the quality is just as good. No fancy features, just a great basic LED light.
