I wanted one of these to use for pouring acrylic into and then carving the shell away with a rotary tool. I was surprised by the thickness of this shell. You think of an egg shell and how fragile they are but not this one! I would say it is approximately 3 to 4 mm thick. And it's so shiny and smooth. It's so much more than the pictures show. I will definitely purchase more of these shells.

Received the egg within two days. It was bigger than I expected. The quality is really good I can't wait to paint it! It's also drilled from the bottom and cleaned so there's a dime sized hole on the bottom. I plan to paint it and put it in my living room

The egg is quite large, the shell is without blemishes, and the hole is not too large or uneven. It should be good ostrich egg to dye.

I purchased three of these ostrich eggs to use as a decorative item in a large bowl. I was nervous about buying these online but they were packaged extremely well and all three arrived intact. The hole was also finished nicely and wasn’t rough or jagged. I’m very happy with the quality of these eggs and would recommend buying them from this seller if you want clean blow out ostrich eggs for any purpose.

I used these eggs for pysanky (ukrainian egg art). They arrived safely packed and in good condition. The only issue was that the holes where the yolk and egg white were removed were fairly large (about the size of a quarter) and difficult to plug when dying.

Item not as described. Listing says egg is supposed to be about 7 inches high. It's barely 5.5 inches high.
