This pen is DEFINITELY not worth $8. It feels tiny and cheap, and is MUCH less metallic than I had hoped. More like a *slightly* metallic dark grey. I bought a cheap-o $2 calligraphy marker from Walmart that produces more shine (see photo - *disclaimer: I'm obviously not a professional calligrapher, but the color was the main contrast here)! So disappointed. Also doesn't work on any sort of textured paper - not even construction paper - as it won't produce a smooth line.

This brush pen worked nicely for the first few strokes, but quickly lost its metallic silver color and turned a faded grey. I was severely disappointed as I originally purchased this to write on invitation envelopes. I couldn't even make it through one envelope before the color was faded. I made sure to re-squeeze the bottle, but nothing could keep the color a metallic silver. A very disappointing product.

it's fun, but it's a bit difficult. you have to squeeze the body to sort of cause the glitter gel to ooze out into the brush and there seems to be an all or nothing approach to this and not much in-between. it's fun for decorations, but if you want a solid amount of glitter or metallic i think there are easier methods than this pen.
