ADDvox7 Voice Amplifier

I have lost the use of my vocal chords, but can whisper fine. This devise allowed me to have an important meeting with two people, one of whom was moving about some in a small (8' by 10' room). Both had no trouble hearing my modestly amplified whisper.Anytime I have tested turning up the amplication, even in rooms four times the size of that one, the device lets loose an awful screech. There are instructions in the box acknowledging this possibility and providing advice on how to avoid it, but I could not get them to work at moderate amplification levels.The device is also awkward to take when doing errands because of its bulk and the need to have the microphone very close to your mouth for it to work well.I am keeping it for small meetings.P.S. I have found that whispering on the phone works fine with both my landline and low-end cell phone.

Microphone didn't work straight out of the box. Constant feedback. Very disappointed. For $150, I expected better.

Works great. My business partner has to do a lot of presentations, and her voice has a tendency to drop until no one can hear her. This was a solution to the problem, plus she can move her head around and gesture without missing the mic, as it follows her mouth around. It does whistle if the volume is turned up too high, but the volume she's getting is perfect for the informal meetings that she hosts.

I formerly used a more expensive voice amplifier, but when it needed to be replaced after it wore out (I used it 7 years) I decided to go with a slightly cheaper option, the addvox. The sound coming out of it crackled and squeaked, and after only a few months, it no longer works at all. If I turn it off and on several times, it works for a short time, but the constant crackling and static are very unpleasant. I tried replacing the rechargeable batteries, but that did not work. If you want to save money, this is not the way. I would go with a more expensive but much better product.

Worked well, had to return it because the person I bought it for was in failing health and could not use it. His voice was impaired due to a paralyzed vocal cord and could only whisper. We could definitly understand him with the amplifier. Great idea but other illnesses prevented this from being a viable option.

Very pleased. My husband has Parkinson's and has lost his volume. This amplifier is just the thing he needed. It sounds like he is speaking louder rather than his voice coming through the speaker.Another couple in our PD group has purchased one.

Very, very effective. It works better for those with Parkinson's voice than a y other we found. Seller is a five in every area. The only down side is the weight.

I've only used it once but ADDvox 7 worked very well.
