The great Annoto seed challenge
So I bought this and the yogi's gifyts Brand which is what I normally purchase so that I could compare side by side. Both were equal in quality. However since I made them side by side I can tell you that the seeds from Yogi's gifts have a more pink color and just a little sweeter while the Batia Brand is very reliable but had a more reddish color

Good flavor just take 24 hr to soak Whatever you think you’re gonna use it soak
Really was hoping this was the powder. It’s not the company‘s fault maybe I’m not using it correctly. I let my stuff soak for half a day. I’m used to using ingredients on the go by the time the seeds release the flavor. I was ready to move on I do recommend this to those to have the time to pre-soak it the previous day sometimes I don’t have that quality time or on the spur of the moment meals as far as the flavor it’s there the color is there as well quality is perfect.I have a full bottle. I’ll let you have it for free.

It's fruit.no flavor. Make ur rice or food reddish. I'm not disappointed. As a PUERTO RICAN 🇵🇷 I LOVE USING THIS.

Lipstick seeds
Love using achoty in my rice and masa for pasteles, make my own oil, also add it to my banana dumpling stew. So happy to find this at this price. 22 oz can’t go wrong.

If you make a lot of achiote paste…
This is a good deal. Some achiote paste also has been found to have lead in it, so I make my own. I like the big container, and it’s nice to not have to wonder if you have enough for your next cook. I’ve made pollo asado with achiote paste I made from this many times now. Delicious.
