Q: Does this fit a 2008 range rover sport hse?

If it looks like the key fob you have, then it almost certainly probably does--I had a LR3 which is essentially the same as a 1st gen RRS. The issue with this is it's just the case and a blank blade key. 1. You'll need to tear open the key fob you have and swap the small circuit board over to the new case. This is not as easy as it sounds; the OE part was not meant to be taken apart, so you need to work hard not to trash the circuit board inside your OE key fob. As a mechanical engineer, it wasn't a big challenge for me, but be aware it's a fiddly operation. 2. You'll need someone to cut the blank that comes with this, as the original blank won't quite fit (the diameter of the hole is different). 3. If you want to change the battery while it's all apart (recommended), you'll need to be pretty good with a soldering iron. 4. Putting it back together is fairly easy, but winding the spring loading mechanism so the blade key pops out nice and clean takes some finesse. I would definitely recommend this product, it definitely got the job done at a great price (at the RR store recently, someone at the parts counter was pricing one of these out, and it was something like $250 plus $200 labor to program the new key to the car--transferring the electronics requires no programming at all), but it is not "plug and play" by any means as it has no electronics inside. But it's a heckuva lot less money than the dealer. But best to know what you're getting yourself in for. Good luck!
