I like braids and twists. One day I might loc my hair but braids and twists is what I keep. I hate gels. They mostly are sticky and I feel like could damage my hair and I just can’t stand them. So I get my hair braided with grease and grease feels good but it has NO hold. So my braids don’t last looking good for too long. This stuff right here though, this Genuine African Formula SuperGro Hair Gel… this stuff, it’s like something I haven’t seen before. It feels like hair grease and has consistency like if hair grease and gel had a baby, but isn’t greasy and holds like a quality gel. It’s not sticky. It’s not oily and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It has all these natural ingredients and protein in it. I have high porosity hair and I need protein… but it never leaves any sticky or greasy residue. Any other gel or grease, after I get my hair done and put on my Durag, you can see the product all in the Durag and on my pillow. With this stuff, even when you accidentally use too much, it just goes into your skin and hair like it’s supposed to and is never left sticky or left in my Durag or on my pillow. I can’t explain how this stuff is. It makes my scalp feel good too and makes my braids last. I took this to the few braiders that do my hair and asks them to use it and they were all shocked at this stuffand they now just buy it themselves and use it as their braiding gel for all their clients. This stuff is good. I hope they never stop making it.

i love this product. been using this for 3 years for retwisting my locs. it is worth the buy. very effective, it lays my hair down. no greasiness, stickiness, build up or residue. it smells good.

This gel is everything you would want in a gel. It holds really good with minimum product, moisturize, with no build up. I really like this gel, but unfortunately I can’t use it because I have a sensitivity to some products that have biotin in it and it caused me to have a reaction.

The texture is lightweight, not too greasy, and it has a nice smell that isn’t overpowering. It makes my hair look shiny and neat while helping my styles last longer. I also like that it has biotin and keratin, which feel healthy for my hair. Highly recommend for locs or braids!

This product gives a nice hold to my locs , it smells great but the only downside is that it has bitterness on my face, and hands

Great gel for locs. It holds them in place, doesn’t flake or leave a residue behind, nor is it sticky. I’m not sure if it’s water based, but I feel like it is, simply by the way it doesn’t cause any buildup. It leaves a great shine, & my hair has been growing & healthy ever since using it.

The product is good. The delivery was very good. The packaging was not good at all. The container was damaged, cracks everywhere. I had to remove the contents and place into another container. Please ensure that the packaging secures the item without any damage in future. Thanks.

Très bon gel que j'utilise pour tourner mes locks, ne me donne pas de démangeaisons au niveau du cuir chevelu et ne fais pas de résidu blanc. Il se rince bien à l'eau et est composé de produits naturels je recommande. Il est même possible qu'il plaque aussi les baby hair.

I wanted to try this for my starter Locs. I’m so glad I did!! The hold is great for my retwists. No flaking or residue. Would definitely suggest!
