Dongle Works Beautifully
this USB dongle buy Nordic is absolutely amazing. It has all the qualities you expect from a high end dongle and none of the negative properties you'd see in inferior dongles.I use this dongle daily and have to say that when I reach for a dongle this is my go to dongle. If you were like me and you probably have a drawer full of dongle's labeled "Doug's Dongles" or "Dougs Dongle Peripherals" filled to the brim with dongles and dongle related peripherals. Set fire to the contents of that dongle drawer and just make Nordics dongle your primary dongle. You won't regret it. Dongle.

Agree with "Incredibly difficult to use"
I'm probably leveled up from "hobbyist" to "novice" at this microchip stuff, and I wholeheartedly agree with the "Incredibly difficult to use" comment. It says it's supported by PlatformIO, but real world testing seems to have proven that is a lie.I tried for hours to even get a manual build-chain set up for it, with no dice. The Nordic tools wouldn't even recognize their own device.I (think?) I was able to update the UF2 bootloader, but, that's iffy at best if it actually worked, because I have no idea how to tell if it worked or not. There's tons of conflicting documentation around how to work with the chip, most of it seems outdated, and even the more recent stuff that had commands that actually matched the tools refused to work.I was super-interested in this for the NFC/RFID side of things. If that's where your interest lies as well, take a look at the Puck.js. That has proven far simpler to work with.

*UPDATE* Very Difficult to Use (unless you want this for BLE sniffer - if so, much easier)
here’s the thing. this is a powerful dev board but it is extremely difficult to get working. unless, you’re only looking to use this as a ble sniffer with wireshark, tcdump, etc. if that’s the case, you can get this going more easily.although it is similar to the nordic version of this dongle, it is simply NOT and not only does the nordic connect software NOT work with this, but also, the TOPOLOGY is different. (where the LEDs are, only one button instead of two, etc.). this means the firmware and software codes will have to be different anyway.a real pain in the neck. really. i’ve been writing firmware for it for weeks and im still running j to issues. good luck.*UPDATE* i wanted to make an update to express my appreciation for their customer service. it has been top notch and it is clear they want to provide quality products and service. much thanks, geeekpi.

update the firmware
it works great~! you have to be careful, it's easy to damage due to the exposed circuit board. don't forget to update the firmware~!

Revert to Open Bootloader and You’ll be Good!
This is a great little Microcontroller for the price. The only major issue is that the UF2 boatloader that comes installed with it refused to work properly. Fortunately I found that if I swapped it out for Open-Bootloader, for which there are files and instructions on the manufacturer’s GitHub page, it now works perfectly!
