I ordered the dress on Saturday night and it was here by Monday afternoon - super fast service! They threw in a free scarf which is really nice, too!The dress was smaller than I was expecting. I measured myself, and according to their dimensions, I would wear a size 8 (I wear a size 6 pants/dress normally.) I went ahead and got the 8, but also ordered the 10 because so many other reviewers suggested going up a size. The 8 wouldn't even fit over my butt!! The 10 fits ok...it fits over my butt, but is still tight and I can hardly sit down. But, I have at least two inches that will need to be taken in around the waist. I'm wearing it to a costume party, so it will be perfect for that. If it was for a fancy occasion, I'd return it, order a 12 (so I could sit down) and have it taken in a lot around the arms and waist. I don't consider myself overly curvy (pretty average, if you ask me) but I'm apparently quite a bit curvier than the average Chinese lady!

For the price, the quality is pretty low and the fit a little odd although I do think it'll be difficult to find a qipao that fits you as well as a custom-made one. In any case, the size 4 is a US size and it fit as best as it could for what it is. I have a pear-shaped body--flat chest, narrow waist, and wide hips, and the size 4 fit my bottom but not my top. I think if you had more in the bust area or wider shoulders, the 4 would fit you just fine. For me personally the arm holes were too big. I'd have to adjust it somehow. I'm usually a size 2-4 in pants. I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs and the dress was a good length, although a little bit short as it went a couple inches too high on my ankles (but still fine). The slit isn't super high so it's quite modest.

I read reviews and majority of them said to order up 2 sizes. So I did. I'm normally a 14 and ordered an 18. I was swimming in it. Thankful for Amazon returns. I ordered a 16 because I didn't want it to be too tight and it was still pretty big. Purchased a 14. Guess what. It fits!! Even a little loose. I'd say start at your size, and return and order up if it's too small.It's decently well made and pretty authentic.

This is the second qipao I purchased online for my Chinese wedding tea cermony. The first one was from a website not via Amazon, and unsurprisingly the Asian sizing meant that the dress I ordered was way too small (and sadly unreturnable). I tried this one next after that failure because Amazon's return and customer service policy is much more reliable than unknown Chinese companies. Overall, the fit is great, I just needed a little bit taken in around the chest and arm loop area. For reference, I ordered a size 8. I'm 5'6, 140 lbs and there is plenty of room for comfort (and not too tight), only minor tailor adjustments need to be made. Fabric quality is good and design works perfectly for my purposes.

I somehow accidentally ordered this dress in a 2 and a 4. The 4 is what I meant to order and it fits the way the sizing chart said it would fit. I’m 5’5” with a 32” bust, 26” waist, and 37” hips. This material has absolutely NO give. But the slits in the dress go up fairly high, which help if you have wider hips (but you might want to wear something underneath). Returning the size 2 dress was super easy and they returned my money and were very helpful. Just make sure you read the sizing chart! I was worried it would be too loose up top, but it looks great! I intend to wear it for my wedding next year. 😊

My fiancee is a 3/4, athletic build and the dress fits absolutely beautifully! We purchased the size 6L.The design is elegantly tapered on the sides and freely allows sitting as well as standing quite comfortably! The zipper on the rear of the dress glides easily up and downThe gold trim and embroidery give just the right amount of balance to make the pattern move freely and flowing. The underlying material glides across the skin effortlessly.This dress was an excellent investment to add to her wardrobe.

Based on reading other people's reviews, and my experience with wearing clothes from China, I ordered two sizes (a 6 and 8) that were both too big. I normally wear around a size 2. I'm smaller on top, but bigger on the bottom. When I first put the 6 on, I was impressed with the fabric of the dress. It's a good quality of reasonable thickness. The gold stitching looks well done. At first glance in the mirror, I thought I was going to keep the dress, but then I realized it was a little too big in the arm holes and the chest/abdomen area. I'm going to order a size 4, and update this review later.

I loved the dress but it is just too small. I followed the sizing chart but obviously it is not designed for larger busted women. Had to return it.

read all previous reviews and worried re described very small fit. Last thing I wanted was a skin tight can't move in dress. I am a size 10uk, petite on top, hippy with a definitely not flat tummy. I ordered the 12 with 14 as back up suspecting even the 12 would be tight. Surprised the 12 actually fitted well, top around shoulders and arm hole not baggy at all and more importantly the hip, bum, tummy area skimmed but not too tight. Overall quality very good, beautiful colour and actually looks much more expensive than it was. Going for posh birthday dinner and this will make the evening even more enjoyable.

Normalerweise trage ich Größe 40 und habe durch die Rezensionen vor mir das Kleid bereits eine Nummer größer, also in Größe 42 bestellt.Obenherum sitzt das Kleid auch gut, am Bauch ist es jedoch vollkommen zu groß (entspricht eher einer Größe 46), wodurch sich dort sehr viele Falten schlagen. Dies wird zusätzlich verstärkt, dass das Kleid an den Beinen viel zu eng ist und daher auch noch nach oben drückt. Fazit: Es sitzt wie ein Sack!Ich habe nun dieses Kleid bei einer Schneiderin ändern lassen, da sich durch die fehlende Auslieferbereitschaft des Hermes-Boten die Lieferung über eine Woche verzögert hat, wodurch ich keine angemessene Alternative mehr bestellen konnte. Ihr Kommentar zu diesem Kleid: Schöner Schnitt, schöner Stoff, aber miserable Verarbeitung. Keine Naht ist wirklich gerade und auch am Reißverschluss ist die schlechte Verarbeitung zu sehen. Dafür ist mir das Geld echt zu schade und ich hätte es auch zurückgeschickt, hätte ich noch die Zeit gehabt, eine angemessene Alternative zu finden (Danke an Hermes dafür!)

Leider ist es über die Brust zu eng. Ich trage normal die Größe 42 und habe BHs in 85C.Schade!
