Taste is great. No crash after, but doesn't like to stay mixed. Check Update
First and foremost, the taste is pretty good. It's more powdered lemonade rather than homemade lemonade, but that should be expected. I gave a few friends and family a blind taste test, every single one of them said it tastes like lemonade. Not one of them believed it was GFuel until personally making a glass for themselves. That should give you a good idea of the taste. The flavor is sweet enough to drink, but a few steps below the normal sweetness of regular lemonade. But truth be told, the taste is satisfying enough to not make you want to add sugar to it. It's quite nice. Now for the nitty gritty. I've tried and tried and tried, but leaving the mixture to sit results in a portion of the powder to settle at the bottom of the shaker. I've tried adding less than the recommended powder to substantially more liquid and after allowing the mixture to sit for a few minutes, the powder begins to settle at the bottom. I've even tried hot water, same end result.Instructions say 1 scoop per 12-16 ounces of water. I did 3/4 scoop in a 28 ounce container. It still begins to settle at the bottom. The problem with this is as you get to the end, you tend to get a bit of a chalky taste in your mouth due to the heavy amount of powder in each swallow. With that in mind, you're best to give the mixture a light shake before east sip, gulp, or swallow.Regarding energy. I typically drink 1-2 cups of coffee most mornings. 1 cup on most days, 2 cups on rough days. I typically make 14-18ounces of GFuel in the mornings on my way to work. Where coffee is like someone nicely shaking me awake, GFuel is like someone quietly entering my room and softly saying my name until I wake. Nothing too harsh, but some mornings I feel myself opting for coffee for a more meaningful wake-up. I don't really feel much more focus. Rather, because the "wake-up" isn't as harsh, I find it easier to focus on things.I've not experienced any crash with GFuel, and that's probably the biggest point here. After downing 18 ounces, it lightly brings me down. In fact, I can sip GFuel throughout most of the day and then sleep pretty well through the night. In comparison, after 3pm I have to stop my coffee in-take as the caffeine will keep me up at night.GFuel is definitely a nice addition to my morning ritual. Though there are still mornings where I have to have my coffee to be more awake. I don't mind being jostled awake some days, but for the other days, GFuel's calm wake-up is quite nice.UPDATE: After 3 weeks of consumption Monday-Thursday, I began having problems sleeping. My routine nor my died changed aside from the G Fuel. The kicker is that my sleeping problems would stop Friday night, then start again Monday night. I concluded it was likely due to the G Fuel. I immediately stopped consuming the G Fuel and went back to my usual medium cup of coffee in the morning. My sleep pattern returned back to normal. When I began drinking G Fuel once more, my sleep problems returned.I'm not knocking G Fuel, rather I'm saying that I just happened to be that 1 person out of 10 that had side-effects. I've come to discover that I needed to cut my G Fuel intake in half to sleep satisfyingly well. As this does not give me the energy boost I desire in the morning, I've stopped consuming G Fueld all together.Tastes great, but I'm the one anomaly out of ten. That said, I will keep my star rating the same. Great product, just not quite the best for me chemistry wise.

For energy - I prefer this to pre-workout and coffee
At this point my preworkout tolerance is high enough that I need 2/3 scoops to get the energy boost. Problem was that the energy didn't last very long and it would take me an extra couple hours to get to sleep that night. G Fuel doesn't give me quite as much energy as a preworkout, but it's enough to notice at the gym, and I have no issue sleeping after, even if I workout later in the day.Not to mention this is 25-30% cheaper than preworkout. It also comes with a funnel scoop so you can pour it into a water bottle no problem. As far as a coffee substitute goes: I love coffee as a drink, but I also have a lot of it for energy throughout the workday...it's destroying my teeth...There's no possible way I could take pre-workout in the morning as a coffee replacement because I would be so jittery (totally understandable though, that's not what the stuff is for), but I can with G Fuel.Definitely a great product: Does everything I need for less than its competition.

Expired product (black tub)
Here's the thing, I've been buying G Fuel for forever now and have a pretty big stock because I can't seem to stick with one flavor. If you're new to G Fuel, just know that the "black" tubs are older and the "white" tubs are newer. That being said, last week I ordered a tub of Lemonade and it came in today via UPS. After opening the package, I immediately noticed that it was a black tub and checked the expiration date (6/19)...I guess if I had gotten this tub yesterday I could've just drank the whole tub in one day and it would've been fine? At any rate, check the color of your tubs. I'm sure that the older ones are probably fine and no one is going to die, but still, get what you pay for!

Once you try this, it will be hard to use anything else again
I've tried other flavors, this is the best, my brother introduced me to gfuel, he had never tried lemonade flavor, I gave him some, he was amazed at how good it is.This stuff really works, I play paintball took some with me to a game where some of my teammates had just come off from workingate with only s few hours sleep and struggling to keep going. Offered them each a scoop in their water bottles, they were highly skeptical and expecting a solid crash after a small perk...They got the surprise of their lives, solid energy and focus, no crash, they even attended the pizza party outing after the days games. I bring a can with me every major outing and I keep a can in my work van for help on those 60+ hour weeks.

When you need that Pick Me Up!
You just never know what these powders will taste like. Lemon in this case for sure, but where does the Ice come in? I can't answer that, because I didn't find any in the canister itself :)Seriously though, it tastes much like you'd think lemonade does. I drink low-cal lemonade regularly and figured I wouldn't like this as much as that other stuff, but I was wrong! I really liked this from the beginning to the end of the canister. I highly recommend this based on the flavor, and the near immediate lift in focus and awareness, without the slightest crash afterward.I've had a few flavors of GFUEL so far, and this is my favorite next to Blood Orange.
