Bosch SDS-max Adapters Type: Connection SDS-max®/SDS-plus Female (part# HA1030)

This thing is solid. very well built and effective. I drilled several hundred 3/8" holes into reinforce concrete blocks and not once worried about it or was annoyed with it. I definitely think it was worth the extra cost over the generic versions easily found on Amazon. Unless you only need it for one quick task, put in the extra money.

Was happy to use but broke on me in like 15 minutes of use....wasn't strong enough for my use ..Great attachment to have ..just not strong enough for my use

Bosch #HA1030 Made in Germany. I wanted the SDS Max hammer drill for larger projects and knowing that you cannot go up from SDS plus to SDS Max, I decided that getting the MAX drill and the Bosch #HA1030 adapter would allow me more options to use all the SDS variations: SDS and SDS Plus, which there are many. The SDS Plus and SDS are far cheaper and more common than SDS MAX for small holes and smaller jobs but sometimes you need SDS MAX for the big stuff, short of the 75 lb jackhammer. This filled all of the voids. I do a lot of home repair and construction, like setting dog yard poles in concrete and mounting wood to brick and stone, Setting volleyball posts in concrete, and securing my expensive outdoor furniture to the patio. I cannot attest to the durability for everyday use but the concept is sound and I have drilled everything from 1/4" to 1 1/4" concrete holes with the adapter that adds a little length to the overall size. The drilling is precise and effortless and the bits and adapter only got warm. Although I don't own a Bosch Hammer-drill (yet) I use a cheaper model. These Bosch and Milwaukee bits and attachments are the only bits I will use since they do the "business-end" of the work. PS I picked up a Harbor Freight SDS MAX Drill/Hammer 8.5amp #69334 hammer-drill for $89 using the coupon code and it arrived in 2-days FedEx for $7 shipping. It has anti vibration and a tough case. For now Harbor Freight is just a girl to date but when I am ready to marry I will choose the Bosch.

After very little use, this adapter would no longer hold my bit. The bit will go in, but it is loose in the adapter. I phoned Bosch & spoke to a guy who identified himself as only as "Ron," not giving any more definitive id of himself. He said that there is NO WARRANTY ON THIS ITEM as it is an "accessory." Thus the advertisement with this item is deceitful, since it refers to manufacturer's warranty in the description. i was given an address where I could mail it. They would then examine it to see if it had a manufacturing defect. Then they may possibly replace it. Of course the postage mailing this in will subtract from the value of the replacement. It cost $45 plus possibly tax. The address for sending this tool in for Corporate Judgment is Robert Bosch Tool Corp, Dept NCC, 1800 W. Central Rd, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. I put mine in a small priority flat rate box & generated on line the postage-label for about $6.50. We shall see what is the Bosch response. I really do need an SDS-max to plus adapter, since the max bits seem astronomical in price & start at a rather large diameter. I suggest that before anyone buys this, he investigate the DeWalt brand, what warranty it may have, & reviews. ===== Update: They sent me a replacement. I really haven't used the replacement enough to say how good it is. The whole experience is a bit of a disappointment with Bosch.

When I excitedly opened the SDS Max to Mini adapter I asked my wife, “You know what this is for”? To my surprise she replied, “Bend over and I’ll show ya”! I then proceeded to drill my sorrows away in the basement. Working my booty off as to not find out what she meant. Needless to say I’m never looking back. This things great for drilling pilots for Tapcons and other masonry anchors. I was tired of burning through bits constantly. This lets me use better quality bits and a heavier drill cutting cost and time. Bet your bottom dollar it was worth the money!

Smaller than SDS, go big or go home.

nothing special no difference with the one I got from aliexpress like they are exactly the same and cost 10x more it doesnt even have bosch branding on the product, seems like a generic product wearing a bosch plastic tag on top, not worth it

Excellent quality. I used it in HILTI TE-60 and 1/2" drilling concrete with rebar for two hours straight and everything worked perfectly! Adapter shows no visible damage and considering price difference between MAX and PLUS drills, it already paid for itself many times.

The original and best. Well-made and very heavy duty tool. I tried a couple of cheaper brands, but they were useless....this is in a whole different ball park in terms of quality....I expect that it will out-live me.
