Extra security
I love these things, they really work and look just like a TV is on. Great for when you are traveling, extra security.

It works
Looks like we are up watching TV.4 or 7 hour timer starting when the lights go off.If you leave a light on all night it will not come on without shielding the sensor from your night light. From outside the house it looks just like you are up watching TV.

Brighter than I expected based on the reviews when I bought it
I'm just turning this on manually at this point, because the other settings don't seem quite as bright, but it's doing what I got it to do. Even through the curtains and vinyl windows, you can still see a bit of flicker, so, not as right as it could be, but still brighter than I expected from the reviews. Pretty straightforward to use. There's a lot of action to it, so it looks more like you're always watching an action movie or something, rather than something more chill on TV. I imagine it doesn't make too big a difference.

Works really well.
ProsThis little unit is a little bigger than a GoPro. I plugged it in and went outsize, and I'll be darned, it works perfectly. Pleasant surprise.Consfeels cheaply made. Not sure how long it will last. My power cord fall out easily and doesn't seem to "click" in place on the unit. If I move it, the cord falls out. They would benefit from providing a better power adaptor plug.

Deter Would Be Burglars
I’m Not Paid Or Rewarded To Write This Review… We Need Every Assistance To Protect Our Homes . Which Is Why I Wondered Is There Anything On The Market To Fool Burglars Into Believing Someone Is At Home???. And I Went On Amazon And Saw Fake TV,s … I Chose This Fake TV Because It’s Very Compact , And Looked Sturdy And A Quality Item…. I Ordered 2 And They Were Delivered .. I Put One In My Back Bedroom , Close Curtains , And When It’s Getting Dark I Turn It On , And Leave It On All Night…. And As Expected It Looks Like A TV Is On…. No Regrets… But There Is No Option To Set The Time , It’s Just On And Off… Unless I Plug It Into A Timer Which Is An Option … But I’m Happy With This Device .. BUY IT , You Wont Regret It.. 01.12.2024. Sleep Easy , Dublin.

Awesome deterrent, but lacks sound.
This little device is perfect for those upper level windows where thieves try to observe. Basically, if you have one of these devices, set them near a window - aimed at the edges - to simulate a television on low sound or on mute. It uses less energy than an actual flat panel TV (which I have several and I've left on with sound if the situation warrants it). The FTV11 is the company's best model (faketv -dot- com) and its LEDs may not be strong enough for some larger windows or rooms. I've had mine for over 5 years, and it is still going strong. The FTV11 has four settings - OFF, DUSK+4 HRS, DUSK+7HRS, and ON - the DUSK settings has the light sensor on the top react to the dimness of the surroundings, which may be unreliable depending on where you place your device. You can set the device to be ON permanently but tied to a digital or analog timer if you need it to follow an activation schedule. If you have this item, and other timers tied to appliances and radios, you will create an illusion of someone inside the home - provided you are not already under 24-7 surveillance by a cartel burglary team that illegally entered the country.

Add a simple (cheap) DIMMER setting to the back--Too bright
Excellent product. There's only one improvement that's necessary:Add one simple thing: a DIMMER setting--too bright. Concept behind concept behind the TV is good of course everyone knows Fake TV is good of course everyone knows (trust me I own three, so I'm a fan but my feedback is that much more valuable. HOWEVER, here's the problem: since the obvious purpose of the product is a theft deterrent, and since thieves commonly stick out a house for a few days first, they will easily be able to recognize the difference between a much lower brightness of your regular TV and me five times higher brightness of your fake TV. this is the problem but it is a cheap fix for you just add a dimmer in the back so that the user can adjust to match the brightness of their own real TV so that it's less suspicious . Then you have the perfect product then you'll have the perfect product and theft deterrent . actually I have one additional awesome suggestion to add more value to your company: everything probably by design has a high action movie type of display (Always flickering a little bit too fast) always flickering a little bit too fast . My suggestion then is to randomize between different types of flicker speed "THEMES" every (Again randomize) 20-40 minutes since this will more realistically reflect real TV as people often switch between NEWS and documentaries (lower flicker rates) and action (your current is high action movies only). Another reason this is important is that because of the extreme I brightness in the extreme high action, we noticed that even with the doors closed etc. that this can contribute to the poor sleep and nightmares versus keeping it off at night which is precisely when we need to keep it on so the suggestions also solves problems as well as more closely approximate but more closely approximate a real TV viewing real TV viewing. In summary 2 things: 1. A brightness/dimmer setting; 2. RANDOMIZED "Theme" variations, where "themes" represent low speed flicker viewing (like dramas/news) vs higher speed (sports and action movies) at random for changing intervals that our minimum of, say, 20 minutes. This will make your product twice as good, and twice as realistic, with the least amount of investment.

Performs well - Bezel not as discreet as I'd like
Performs well. The brightness, as seen when outside my home, is very close to that of my 65" OLED screen facing a tall off-white wall 18 feet away. Pricey but a better alternative to just static lamps. Wish the bezel color and logo were more muted though.
