Exactly as described
Have used it on two fixings and have two more to do tomorrow. Works as described and easy to put in. Ibwish I new these existed years ago as I could have used them several times over when fabricating parts.

Bought for my egg chair and with the selection i got exactly what i wanted as my old ones rusted out and was just spinning in the steel i put a total of 3 of these in the chair and there still like new going strong and it must have been 6 month roughly since i got them if not longer they squash nicely too as they are supposed too.

As Described
Stainless steel rivet nuts - they take some force to compress - as expected with stainless rivet nuts! but work well and have a flat head, as opposed to the countersunk versions. I'll be buying again when these run out.

VERY SOFT MATERIAL
******UPDATE******I have decided to update this review after giving these a second try. I will still *WARN* that this material is very soft and will not tolerate high or excessive torque being applied. However if used for lower torque applications and being cautious during installation they seem to work just fine. I used these for a thumb screw application and wanted stainless steel as the item was going to be used both indoors and outdoors. I still would not recommend this item for automotive use as the hardness of material is just to low/soft. ******ORIGINAL REVIEW******The whole reason for this purchase was the fact that I needed something that was resistant to the elements and also durable. These were going to see regular out door usage and some rain/humidity from time to time. In that aspect I don't foresee any issue as these are stainless just as claimed. The issue is the durability mainly with the threading. After installing only 3 of them I noticed that a coating was starting to build up on the installation tool. I checked the installed rivet nuts and sure enough I could see distortion to the threading on 2 of them. Just to make sure I tried to run the M5 screw down by hand and after only 4 to 5 turns it was binding up. Tried to run down using a screw driver with a T25 bit after about half way down I backed out the screw cause it was staring to lock up. I will admit the distortion in threading was most likely caused by myself during install from applying to much torque on the nut setter tool, I did not realize just how soft this metal was going to be. The third rivet nut I was able to run down the screw down by hand and then applied the set torque using above mentioned screw driver. I backed the screw out after this and found that even using a screw driver handle to apply torque was to much. I ended up having to use a 1/4" drive with a T25 bit to back screw out and found threads on screw filled with metal from rivet nut (both made of SS) even though I was able to run down by hand (fingers). I don't know if the larger sizes would be any better as I only needed to use the M5 size, being made of the same material I would assume the same results would occur. I can't really say this product is defective as I may have just been using in the wrong situation. Just did not expect the material to be this soft and threading so easily damaged.
