some info on the q&a cannot be trusted
i use over 50GB with the first month i bought this tiny device. it drives around 10 devices.there is no sim card come with it (of course) I use my own t mobile nano sim card. it's not micro sim.I am not sure if i can trust the 4g band info given in the q&a. it works with t-Mobile so I don't bother to check again.sim card is not locked for me.drawback:1, during my less than one month test, it stuck once so far. i need to remove the battery to reboot it. I am still testing its long term reliability.2, WIFI output is either 2.4GHz or 5GHz, but i want both at the same time.3, i want openWRT or openVPN capability, which it does not have. With this price, these drawbacks are tolerable.

It’s not unlocked. No está desbloqueado, ojo.
Wow, the description say unlocked, but it is not.I bought this because I thought it was unlocked like it said, then I sent it to Dominican Republic. I bought a SIM card and it didn’t work then I had to pay over there so they can unlock the device, so if you’re gonna buy this, it’s not unlocked.

Functioned perfectly at an event
I recently deployed about ten of these at an event in a venue large enough that there was no WiFi reception in many key areas. I ordered them, then set them up at a T-Mobile store with prepaid SIM cards. The event staff then handed them out to the respective organizations.Setup was very straightforward. You turn it on by holding the power button for three seconds. Accessing them is easy, especially since you can do so via USB, and the UI is simple to use. There are many options, including the ability to limit the number of maximum devices connected, so you don't overburden the device or the data limit. After configuring them and writing their WiFi credentials on the back of the unit, they were ready to go - people just connected right to their WiFi signal and had access via the 4G connection. I also tested these with the USB connection, so that they acted as a simple 4G modem, and this worked well also. I didn't do an actual speed test onsite but with a strong signal I'd say 60-90Mbps?So, yeah, no complaints whatsoever with the units. It has a mediocre star rating on Amazon, but that's due almost entirely to issues with its carrier compatibility, not with the performance of the unit itself. I tried this with prepaid T-Mobile and it worked well, and it probably would have been better with post-paid since that way I could manage all the units centrally, but that option wasn't available for the event.I will say that T-Mobile prepaid service tech/sales phone reps are probably the most incompetent I have ever worked with. Consumer-level Comcast support is bad, but that's only because they're malicious - they are capable of helping you, they simply refuse to do so. Prepaid T-Mobile people are just wildly inept. No case numbers, no notes, so starting from the beginning with every call and transfer. Contradictory information from -literally- every rep I spoke with. Seven people over three hours, three assurances to follow up not kept, two promised email quotes that never arrived, two unsuccessful attempts to be transferred to a supervisor and I was in the same position as when I started. At least two reps told me there was no stock of any of my requested model of hotspot at any T-Mobile store within a twenty-mile radius, when subsequent phone calls to those very stores confirmed that all but one had at least some units in stock. It took -twenty-three minutes- for one rep to fail to find the price of the hotspot he was allegedly trying to sell me. I called into a commissions-based sales line, with card in hand and PO approved to make a $1500+ purchase, and multiple people -still- couldn't close the deal. The in-store US reps, however, were excellent - they had me completely sorted on every unit with one (1) five-minute phone call and a single highly-productive forty-five minute visit to their location. So, as a hotspot, if you have T-Mobile, I recommend it, so long as you already have a post-paid account or set it up in store.

Unlock pin is on the box!!!!
Like others i booted this up and was disappointed to see that it was carrier locked and asking for a code to use with my sim cards. I have one for tracfone (verizon i believe) and one for tmoble. I thought id have to return this like the other reviewers. But then while packing this back up i happened to notice a sticker on the box that says "Unlock Pin". Tried and it worked and now both of my sims function properly!Removing one star because although i can charge other usb devices, the usb port seems iffy and the hotspot sometimes needs to be restarted for it to work again. I think this happens when something is plugged into the usb port but then you also plug the hotspot itself in to charge at the same time. This isnt a big deal for me though and still a nice feature that works with a quick reset. Just cant rely on it as an uninterrupted power supply.Im using this for constant internet access for my Blink Cameras and Yolink Hub. Working great. But yeah, theres multiple stickers on the box and you need to look for the one of the back that has the IMEI number and the Unlock Pin beneath it. Its the sticker on the back cover, not the bottom with all the serial numbers.

Works fine, reasonable price.
I don't use the internet that much and this is a good hotspot to use my computer with a cellular data plan. Works fine, simple to use, just had to find the right location in my home for the best cell signal.

Not unlocked
It's not unlocked. Very disappointed because I purchased 5 of them first that were unlocked but the second batch came with a sim. But that sim doesn't work in my country. Stop robbing people.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER
Item was advertised as being "UNLOCKED" and good for T-Mobile. After making two 60-mile round trips to the T-Mobile retail store, they said it was 100% "LOCKED". So, the new T-Mobile Sim Card that I paid $50 for was USELESS. The device itself might be fine, but the description is totally false. Buy at your own risk!UPDATE: I'm changing the star rating from 1 to 3 because the seller was good enough to not only refund the purchase, but to also allow me not to even have to send the product back. So, 5 stars for "Customer Service"! :)
