A worthy alternative to the Apple Pencil
I purchased this as a backup to my Apple Pencil Pro to use with the iPad Pro M4. Side by side the Metapen and Pencil Pro look identical (see pic enclosed). If it wasn’t for the charging status light and USB-C charging connector on the Metapen they would be as they share exactly the same dimensions. It’s only when you pick them up and use them that the differences become apparent. In the hand they feel and handle exactly the same even though the Metapen is slightly lighter, but only by a negligible 4grams. In use the Metapen lacks the some of the key features and functionality of the Pencil Pro, specifically the Haptic feedback, Double Tap, Squeeze, and Pressure sensitivity. If you are a serious artist or content creator you will benefit from these advanced features and functionality but for the vast majority of Pencil users like me, they are overkill. In all other respects the Metapen works just as well as the Pencil Pro. It’s robust, the magnet attaches firmly to the iPad, it holds its charge for hours of use, and it interacts with the screen with the same preciseness and latency. While I miss the instant functionality and wireless charging of the Pencil Pro, having to double-tap the top of the Metapen to activate it isn’t a major inconvenience.A word of advice if you decide to purchase and already own an Apple Pencil, both the Apple Pencil and Metapen work via Bluetooth, so if your Apple Pencil is already paired with the iPad, you will first have to disconnect it in Bluetooth settings, “Forget this device”, in order for the Metapen to pair with the iPad.I should add that my comments refer to the second, replacement Metapen I received as the first had a problem with the magnetic attraction being weak and not being fully compatible with the magnet polarity of the latest iPad Pro M4. It worked in all other respects though. Following an email exchange with Rosie at Metapen the problem was resolved in 24 hours and a new compatible A8 pen arrived the next day.The excellent service and support from Metapen together with my experience with the pen make it a worthy alternative to the Apple Pencil Pro, providing of course that you can live without some of the described functionality. But bear in mind that this functionality comes at a price with the Pencil Pro a hefty 158% more expensive, equivalent to almost 8 Metapens.

Great pen at a great price.
A great pencil that works really well with my iPad A16 and at a really great price. However, the magnet to store the pencil was not connecting correctly and the pencil was sitting at an odd angle. When straightening the pencil - to sit in my iPad case which has a pencil storage slot - the connection weakened resulting in the pencil falling out.I contacted customer services and Rosie was great and sent a replacement pencil out to me very quickly. The second pencil was much better, it attached well and sat straight along side the iPad. But when using the iPad case, the alignment of the pencil to its storage area wasn’t quite right, so although it fitted the magnetic connection wasn’t as strong and the pencil can easily loosen and fall out.Despite this, overall this is a great item which I’m very please I purchased, at such a great price and is working really well with my iPad.This company has really great customer service and I would not hesitate to recommend them.5 Stars!

It’s safe
I’ve had this for 9 months and it’s very good. It charges faster and the battery lasts for days. It leaves no scratch mark on your iPad, it writes well and accurately. It suddenly stop working and I reached out to them and Rosie is one of their customer service agents and she is very calm and helpful she sent me a replacement but I love the pen so much.

this pen is literally my savior
this pen is literally an amazing pen as its responsiveness of it is very quick and the design is more comfortable as if u want to use it for long periods of time it will still have a long battery life to go and helped me with gcses and even college as i have the apple air and that ipad is light and even the pen it self is light which doesnt make it heavy when carrying it in the bag as also the price is it is very worth unlike apple pen which is 100 pounds for a stander one and this pens value is like an apple pro with its features

Sceptical before buying, but money and relief saved!
Amazing! I just bought an IPad Air 2025 M3 to use instead of my MacBook for day to day work. I already had an external Bluetooth keyboard from my MacBook so thankfully didn’t have to fork out for the very expensive apple keyboard and case!Equally I really didn’t want to pay for an apple pen(cil) so looked at alternatives. Saw this and was a bit worried it wouldn’t be good for the price. I’m not doing any drawing, mostly using the pen to navigate and scroll around the iPad but I also wanted to add text via the pen and my handwriting into Pages document and notes, and was worried this wouldn’t work or be erratic. Well a week in and all is fine and great - definitely not something I needed to worry about and has saved me a lot of money - if it does go wrong, I can buy another, and another before the cost of an original apple, but so far one week in, I’m very happy!

High quality apple pencil alternative
I'm a firm believer that a company only shows how good they are when they have to handle a problem - I had a small problem with my pen, and it was handled quickly, professionally and overall far exceeded my expectations. Thank you. The pen is well made, charges easily over USB-C and has a battery level indicator - it also magnetises to the side of my iPad A16 just fine. It doesn't make my handwriting any less awful though ;)

Impressed.
Bought this pencil a month ago for my daughter, works as expected, responds well, sensitivity’s good, very accurate, she was using my Apple pro pencil on my iPad before I bought her her own iPad and this pencil to go with it and you can’t tell the difference, would recommend if your looking for a quality product without the hefty price tag that comes with Apple products, battery lifes also really good, lasts much longer than my Apple Pencil.

Magnet doesn’t work
Magnet seemed to not be compatible with Air 5th gen.***However - the seller reached out and refunded the purchase, plus delivered another pen to try. Very good customer service!
