Versatile and useful with one slight issue.
This is a good storage device, which is designed to be compatible with laptops that have both USB A and USB C and other devices with USB C ports such as phones and tablets. It works well and 64GB is a good size for transferring files around, I found it particularly useful when transferring drivers to my new laptop, which only has two USB C ports. The slider, which pushes out the connections is quite strong and as long as you don’t use too much force I see no reason why it shouldn’t last the lifespan of the device. The read and write speeds are good, not as fast as my other storage device (Corsair Voyager, USB3, 128GB) but adequate.I only have a slight issue with the USB C side of the storage device. When you insert it into a USB C port it doesn’t click. So you’re not sure that you have inserted it properly. You probably have and whatever you do don’t apply too much force as you might break your USB C port (luckily mine is ok).No other issues. Really appreciate that they took the time to create a device like this, also works with my iPad Air 4th Generation.

Does the job, at typically expected speeds.
By "typically" I mean not massively fast, but at the expected speed most of these 150MB/s flash drives are rated for.- Test setup (March 2018):Straight into a Thunderbolt 3, 2016 15" fully spec'd Apple MacBook Pro. Using this SanDisk 64GB drive in new/unused/pre-formatted (FAT32) condition, straight out the packaging.Tested using Blackmagic Disk Speed Test, at Blackmagic's 1GB and 5GB sizes. Using the drive's USB-C plug or it's USB-A plug (with an Aukey USB-C-to-USB-A adapter) directly into the MBP:50-60 (write) / 160-170 (read).- Result:So read's on an empty drive are as expected, write's are a bit slow; but TBH they're well within what most of these flash drives' performances tend to be that advertise themselves at the "150MB/s" rated standard.- Summary:If you want to spend 2-4 times more on a flash drive that advertises newer "300MB/s" speeds, then of course you may get around a doubling of the read and writes shown here. But of course you're paying usually significantly more for the privilege, and those flash drives are typically much bulkier as well, this one is only 4x2x1cm in size. Also, there are currently NO others (or at least none from main brands) on the market that do both USB-A and USB-C on one stick. This does the expected speeds, connected using the expected types. As of March 2018... If you need both A+C connection types, this is the one you're gonna need to buy. If you want faster speeds, at a higher price (19 quid for 64GB model), whilst sacrificing having both A+C USB connections, then look elsewhere.-----------EDIT (one week later):Two quick points...1) Faster drive. Those looking for SanDisk's ~300MB/s speed drive, which is more expensive (~double the price/GB), bulkier, only has a USB-A port and no USB-C port. Then the "SanDisk Extreme PRO" the current one they do in 128GB & 256GB sizes:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MU8TZRV2) Format.I should have said originally, Mac users will likely want to reformat the drive in Disk Utility app.The drive natively comes in FAT32, which only allows max file sizes of ~4GB. So I used "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" and "GUID Partition Map" type. Likely only work on Macs though, but that's my work environment. Speeds quoted in main review above remain the same, BTW.ExFAT could also be used (not sure whether that's as "Master Boot Record" or "GUID Partition Map" type? – I think the latter is best for newer OS's like Sierra onwards or Win 7 onwards?), but that's got limitations (e.g. max 11 character drive partition names), see here:https://support.apple.com/kb/PH22240?locale=en_GBHope this helps any Mac (and Win) users who are unsure.

Super handy and great value
I bought this as I work in IT and needed something that could transfer files between many different kinds of machine with minimum fuss and no dongles!- The stick feels well built, there’s a button that slides a mechanism and locks the USB A or USB C end into place. The click is very postive on the USB A end but a little mushy on the USB C end, but that might just be my unit in particular. It still locks into place well, it’s just not always easy to tell if it’s locked in because the click isn’t very positive.- File transfers are very quick and frustration free, anything from small documents to large movies are swift enough that you don’t have to leave and come back when they’re finished.- Value is great, it’s hard to believe a USB with this much utility and 64GB(!!!) of storage can be had so cheap!- Overall this little thing is great. I wish it had slightly higher build quality, with a stronger click and maybe a metal enclosure, but that would inevitably drive the price up and you really can’t fault the value at this price

Great USB key but with one design flaw
I got this because I needed a USB key that I could use to easily transport files between my MacBook (USB-C) and my desktop (USB-A) without keep needing to find adapter plugs for either one or the other machine. This suits my purpose perfectly, although it does have a serious design flaw. But the USB-C and USB-A connectors are retracted inside the key's casing and a small black slider allows you to slide out whichever connecter you need. It does lock in place when you hold it in your hand, but these connectors are a VERY snug fit in the sockets (not a bad thing usually. However even when making sure my fingers are nowhere near the slider, trying to plug them in causes the catch to release and the plug disappears back inside the casing. The only way I can plug it in is to put my thumbnail behind the slider and forcibly hold it in place.Other than that, it's a great key, decent speed and does what I want.
