Great sound!
Great sound, sleek design, just wish I knew how to control the volume with my tv or device remote and not use the one supplied with.

Solid bass, muddy high-range, flexible inputs
This thing packs a lot of low- and mid-range audio into a compact package. It's powered directly from the wall: none of this weak-sauce USB power most small speakers use, because it produces way more volume than a cheap 5W would support. The "built-in subwoofer" is... well, it's definitely there, and it definitely boosts bass. It's really not the same as a dedicated, separate, full-size subwoofer box though--but if you're looking for simplicity, this is a good compromise. It's also a sacrifice, though: the speaker is definitely muddy, under-representing mid-to-high frequencies. I read another review that suggested this is a good central component in a broader audio solution, and there's some truth to that. For home theater I think I'd go for a bigger and better solution, though, while for a computer this alone suffices.I'm really pleased with the input options: can pull audio from HDMI/ARC, from an optical channel, from a USB drive, from a regular headphone jack, and from bluetooth. That's a lot of flexibility, and it's nice to (for example) switch between computer audio and cell phone while working at my desk.I'm much less pleased with the volume controls. They're awkwardly placed on the right, and are tap-to-increase-or-decrease. Is it so hard to use a basic spinny knob for easy and fast manipulation and a good view at all times of where the volume currently is? A bad design choice there IMO.For the price, this was a fine choice and suits my needs. Better high-range audio quality and a better volume control solution would've earned that 5th star.

Great Soundbar for Dorm Room
I’ve used a few soundbars and honestly even though it is cheap and small it packs a good punch. the bass is pretty good for being an all in one sound bar and the mid range and high range are pretty clear. Arc works very well and everything else works as intended. I recommend keeping the Music or Movie setting on because any other EQ makes it sound tinny.

Bad HDMI Connection - Poor QC
I'm generous with 1 star. This Soundbar was a waste of time. I know you get what you pay for but this was for an outside TV on my deck so I didn't need a "Bose" level sound system. My main requirement was an HDMI connection and though many reviews expressed HDMI connection difficulties my experience points to many not knowing how to connect HDMI so I purchased anyway. I tried for an entire day to connect my smart TV to the HDMI soundbar but to no avail. I reset the TV to factory settings in case I had some sort of advanced setting I made and forgot. I tried power sequencing, auto detect, followed basic format processes on TV and per Soundbar instructions and still no joy. HDMI is a pretty mature technology so it's really a no brainer and "plug and play" unless the added device is poorly made or has poor QC. I returned and purchased a different manufacturer and waiting for it to arrive today. The HDMI may work for some people but it's not worth the time to endure the risk of a bad HDMI port as a result of bad QC.

Not so great but also not horrible.
As I'm waiting on my shipment for a better soundbar to be delivered today I figure I would write my review of this Larksound I ordered and received yesterday. I have it playing now watching Spider-Man to fully test it out to its max capability.Starting with thePros:Look/DesignThe design of this soundbar is nice and the smaller size option is nice to have to free up more space around my set-up and not to block my remote sensor. Not too bulky and blends in with the devices around it.ConnectionThe multiple choices for connecting is great. I'm using Optical vs Aux. Better option for digital sound.DimensionsMy TV sits low and it sits right under it not blocking the screen so not needing to raise my TV.SoundSo the sound is okay, really... I mean I'm not reviewing this compared to a high quality 120w+ Dolby digital surround sound and wasn't looking to go that route. If you are looking for something that just gives your TV higher volume with minimal amount of bass and not much sound seperation between lows and highs this will work. But for the most part the sound is more of the many Cons I have about this unit.Cons:VolumeThis is one big Con! The delay between the remote and soundbar is really bad! And I'm only 4' away from it. The delay when just a press takes too long and then when you hold the volume up/down the volume greatly decreases fast to very low or high. And it's almost impossible, to fact I think you can't just tap down or up because of the delay so you end up having to hold it and can't tell if it is registering up or down when tapped. The light indicator takes too much time to tell you that it is ready to turn down or up and you have no idea where you are in your volume max or mid. Just know that you have definitely turned it way too down quickly!SpeakersThe bass speaker at the bottom gives a small amount of bass to give the tweeters just a little bit of what would be fullness of the sound needed. With the volume button up when you get to max it gives a sound and max is not that very max and I'm running full digital. The bass does not give you an indication and if not all the way down, the bass sounds the same no matter how high you put it at. Very small amount. The tweeters are very high in thier sound and not much low in them so you would need to balance them out with that sub added but it's a very small amount and the highs from them almost drown out the bass from the sub.PresetsThe presets suck. Simple as that.Movie mode, just hold the bass + and you get a very small change with what should be a full sound but nothing really much. All in all... If you want your TV a bit louder and don't care for a full body sound go with these but I don't recommend it. There are many other options with way, way better quality. This soundbar will be returned today.
