Why is this listed as 10,000 mAh when the bottom says 5800 mAh according to a review with photo?

Why did you purchase a 10000mAh portable charger but find that the rated capacity on the product is less than 10000mAh? Here's an explanation: 10000mAh is the capacity of the battery cell, and 5800mAh is the rated capacity (the actual output capacity). 10000mAh is the capacity of the battery cell, calculated at a voltage of 3.7V (the basic discharge voltage of a lithium battery). When charging a device such as a phone with the portable charger, the output voltage required is 5V. Therefore, the internal circuit board of the portable charger will boost the voltage from the battery cell's 3.7V to 5V before outputting it to charge the phone. The capacity of the portable charger that can be output to charge the phone needs to be converted. The calculation formula is: theoretical output capacity = battery cell capacity * battery cell voltage / 5V (voltage of the device being charged). For example, with a 10000mAh battery cell, the theoretical output capacity is 10000mAh * 3.7V / 5V = 7400mAh. This is only the output capacity when charging a device at 5V. This product supports fast output from 5-12V. When charging an iPhone quickly at 9V, the theoretical output capacity is 10000mAh * 3.7V / 9V = 4111mAh, which is less than 5800mAh. However, phones have battery protection functions and will reduce the voltage to below 9V when the battery is charged to over 80%. Therefore, we have taken 5800mAh as the rated capacity. Not much of a reviewer, but really disappointed with this product and unable to reach customer care to discuss issue.In brief , purchased in Dec 23……return window ended in Jan 24…..the product is dead and will not charge as of Mid Apr 24.Disappointed customer.20/04/24:Subsequent to my inital review, I have been contacted by customer care who have been very proactive to help resolve my complaint, I am happy with the communication level to date , they have recommended a replacement for me to review.02/05/24Radio silence for 2 weeks04/05/24Very impressed with their commitment to a quality product and client experience.They have gone over and above my expectations.I will be testing their substitute flow mini product on my trek to the Himalayas in June, I am sure it will perform in the field.
