It is a little trick to get the lid on but once it’s on it has a good seal. I can’t wait to be able to get a hummingbird to come to this and drink from it. So far they just hover around.

One of my favorite purchases ever! The hummingbirds where we live are plentiful and seem to be especially brave around us anyway, but they actually prefer coming to me and drinking out of this ring over the feeders we have in our yard. I can't believe it. They just chatter at me the second I step outside in the morning and zoom up to me immediately after I refill it. I've started leaving it set up outside even when I'm not there because they like it so much better than our usual feeders. I brush out the feeding hole, wash out, and refill it at least once every day because several birds drink out of it constantly. They didn't trust it for a couple days, but were immediately curious. By day three, they came up to me with it while sitting still in a chair. Now they follow me around the yard while I wear it! Be warned, hummingbirds are very curious and fly up to our faces very fast and often just to see if they recognize us, so don't flinch or you'll scare them off.

The ring fits my girlfriend but it also fits me. Made of pretty durable seeming plastic. You really have to apply some good pressure to make sure it closes properly. I bought a red one and it looks exactly like the picture.

This is such a cute concept, however the lid doesn't secure to the base in any way and in fact doesn't quite sit right on the base either, so I wound up spilling the liquid all over and attracting bugs instead of humming birds. If the lid secured to the base, it would be so much better!

This feeder ring had no way to stay together. The petals would not secure to the nectar receptacle base. I was so frustrated I think I threw it away because it couldn’t work. I can’t find it anywhere. I called today and discovered it could have been returned. It would be nice to be reimbursed for all the frustration and disappointment.

I followed the instructions by putting these little flower rings in a bowl with some water. The rings were filled with sugar water for the humming birds. Within the same day as we put them out the hummers visited and had no problems getting the nectar fro the little flowers. So, in a couple of days I cleaned them and filled 2 with sugar water and went out to sit quietly on the patio (near the flowers). I rested my hand on a ledge and was visited by 2 humming birds within 10 minutes. They are so fast they are not afraid to get up close to get a drink. Love them!
