Excellent radio, can't beat the price
Great radio, I have mine unlocked even though I primarily use it for (licensed) GMRS use. I have a couple of fire and ems companies programmed to scan for my area to be alerted if something is going on locally.

My first radio and I love it!
My first GMRS radio and I absolutely love it! I do have nothing to compare it to but the radio works well, feels sturdy, and has decent range in my area with good sound quality when I use the VHF antenna. I like it so much I got my girlfriend a green one!

Tidradio H-3 radio
Currently, the Tidradio H-3 unit works as advertised. Still in the process of programming the desired frequencies. I will update this if any significant deficiencies are noted. The USB – C charging and the size of the unit are to me major pluses.

Great price, versatile and gets airband
I have a uv5r which works fine as a fancy versatile FRS radio that can do so much more. But the tdh3 is even more versatile and can receive airband frequencies. Plus you don't need a special cable to program this. It can be done via USB or with the odmaster app on your phone via Bluetooth. Battery is kinda slow to charge and the keypad is different so it is a little more complicated but not bad. One button to scan, bright light, one button FM radio, NOAA weather. For the money and capability this is the best radio at the moment

My new favorite
I will start out by saying that I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I wanted people to know that my experience with the Tidradio TD-H3 has been nothing but great. Like may I started out with Baofeng UV-5/17 series and UV-9 series, then purchased a Wouxun KG-UV9px and really like that radio too. The Wouxun is a little more advanced and I was concerned about the people in my life who are just going to be casual users of these radios being able to effectively use it and I also want to give a few of these out, so the Wouxun, while being great, is a little pricey for that. The TD-H3 is full of many of the same features, with the added benefit of using an app on my phone to store, share and load different profiles into my radio; that is a game changer. Then to make things better I can just copy my set up to my wife's radio and we are off the the races, she doesn't have to know any of the technical knowledge on how the radio was set up, she can just use it to keep in touch with the rest of the family. I'm currently using it on the Appalachian trail to my house, 12 miles away with two small hills (40-50 ft above line of sight) in the way and getting an honest 3x5 or 4x5 at that distance. Only been using this radio for a little over a month, but really enjoying this little thing so far. I did change the antenna to a Nagoya 771G, since the factory antenna, works on GMRS, but isn't' tuned for it.

Por el precio un buen radio.
Buen Producto.

Radio will not transmit over GMRS repeaters
I recently purchased this radio and programmed it to the repeaters in my area, but I am unable to transmit through them. The radio is set to normal mode and successfully transmits on several standalone frequencies; however, it fails to activate any of the repeaters, even after I have verified the correct tones. This includes GMRS repeaters, so the issue is not related to frequency restrictions. On the receiving side, the radio performs well, but without the ability to utilize repeaters, I question whether this device can truly be considered GMRS-compliant. I also attempted to update the firmware in hopes of resolving the issue, but it did not help.Even with the current promotional pricing, I feel the product did not meet the promised functionality. Unfortunately, this experience has left me disappointed, and I will not be purchasing from this seller again.

AWSOME FEATURES - nonetheless a $40 product
After exchange for a replacement (firmware 240416), I Wouldn't bet my life on this, however if you haven't outgrown playing James Bond :++++ FM/NOAH work well.++ ALARM mode will send/receive SIREN/LED to other brands (Wouxun KG935+) or even same models -- will malfunction which requires reseat the batteries while your HT group won't know whether it works or not.++++ Can be reset to GRMS/HAM/both with few key press ... ---- ODMaster will autoload TX (transmit) to all band (GRMS+HAM etc) thereby makes it illegal even by accident.+++ Bluetooth program through cell, iPad, PC etc.. --- Bluetooth sometimes wouldn't save or loose all features/channels. (need battery reseat).** SciFi feature to send stun and kill of lost of similar set if power on at same channel ? --- Vice versa can render mine useless?++++ Various way to Quick grab on-air channel ... --TONES can be off by a few digit but can be second guess by look for nearest CTSS/DCS tone from chart.---- can't find Firmware update regardless of YouTube and various sources claims. It's $40 I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.--- out of curiosity, haven't been able to RX receive AVIATIONRegardless of price , if everything works consistently then it's a must have in a hiking bugout bag for its range and signal grab for emergency. FOR NOW IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING.On the far side when SHTF I'm not too eager to hold this to my face after the Israel IED stunt, and knowing the None-waterproof Lithium can melt through the car. And Last time I plug a Motorola into my PC, it bluescreen so I will dedicate a PC for CHIRP and have the ODMaster for fieldHowever I will stop now, and wait for the similar model with IP rated ?
