I bought these at the suggestion of the other half. He needs reading glasses and struggles with vision in low light so going in to our kitchen late at night is a juggling act between being able to see and half blinding yourself with the flourescent ceiling light.These glasses do take a little while to be delivered as they come from China, my package took exactly 14 days. I was worried when they were delivered that they would be damaged as there appeared to be little in the way of packaging - outer thin plastic bag, inner thinly padded bag and then a bubblewrap bag enclosing the glasses. I needn't have worried, not even a tiny crack on the cases and the glasses were in perfect condition.I clearly didn't read the description properly as I was expecting just the two pairs of glasses. What I got was:Two pairs of glassesA semi-transparent thin plastic case for each pairA cleaning clothA small screwdriver attached to a keychain (this is actually quite elegant metal construction with a protective sheath that screws on and off.The magnification (x3.5) is accurate and the other half advised that they are as clear as the ones the optician fitted him with. So, work on the reading front. Not sure they are great for his face shape but as they will primarily be used in the home the aesthetics don't really matter.Now, the main reason we purchased these was for the light. Both of us expected a weak light, a bit like the LED lights you used to get in lighters 6 or 7 years ago. What you actually get are two, independently operated, bright white LEDs in each pair. These lights are bright, very bright. We tried them in our dark hallway at 8pm on a November evening and without them you can't really see anything when both lights were turned on not only could the wearer clearly see for a reasonable distance but the person stood behind them could see as well. The downside to this is that if you have bought them for reading in bed then they may be just as distracting for your partner as a bedside light or clip light would be.We are very, very happy with this purchase and feel like we got an absolute bargain. Yes, there are cheaper versions available but these are strong and sturdy and exceed their product specifications.

Decent quality - better than you'd expect for the price. Lights operate separately, one switch in the "arm" on each side. Will be perfect for the purpose.
