Making a quilt!

Pictures are great but time wasting instructions
I have started making the Parfait pattern in this book which is pictured on the third row on the right. The instructions tell you to make a snowball on the nine patch edges to get this effect. Why not tell us to make a half square triangle? I had to line it up exactly to get a nice triangle which is time consuming and a waste of fabric as I have to cut fabric away. So far I'm not impressed. I have to give it 4 stars otherwise this page will not print my review. I have tried giving it lower but it won't appear on the review page

Has more modern quilts than vintage
I like this book, but I would have liked it to have more antique or vintage quilts in it. Antique & vintage style quilts were very limited.

Beautiful pictures
Love the patterns, beautiful big pictures of the quilts and clear instructions. Patterns would work well for scrappy strips or jelly rolls.
