HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier

I used to have one of these printers several years ago and traded up for a newer one. Since then, I have had several different brands of printers and decided to go back to this one. My husband still has one and it is so much better than any printer I ever had. It is simple to use for one thing. It has better printing than the other ones I had. I wish I had never gotten rid of it. It doesn't have any bells and whistles but it works so well that it doesn't need them. The scan feature is the best part of it. I will keep this one forever.

what i didnt like about this printer was that it doesn't come with the printer usb cable. you have to buy it seperate. other than that, it is a good printer for the price although the additonal costs from paying for hp ink will add up eventually

Previously I suffered with my HP Superjet FR6500 printer, with its three separate color cartridges. To replace it, I bought a HP Deskjet F380 Printer/scanner/copier, which has only a single color cartridge. Although it can not be used for Faxes, it does everything else I want it to do. It works like a charm. It never jams, it makes good clean copies, and its color printing is quite satisfactory. I feel lucky to have found this refurbished printer on Amazon.

It was difficult for me to make the change from Lexmark to another brand. However, Lexmark did not seem to be keeping up with the Microsoft changes. I am very happy with my HP Deskjet F380. Set up was extremely easy. Software loaded without any problems at all. The key with some of the older computers is to make sure you have the amount of RAM recommended by HP. The copier is freestanding which is nice. I have seen several reviews that complain about the amount of ink this printer uses. I'll agree it does go through a cartridge quickly. However, these cartridges cost about half the amount of other brands and are not rated to print as many copies. In the long run it comes out the same. You just don't have to put out $30 each time you buy a cartridge. I recommend this All-In-One Printer/Scanner/Copier for most home users. If you do a large amount of printing, you may want to consider one that uses a cartridge with higher print capacity. HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier

Love this printer, but it is totally a toner hog. I use this for work in my home office. Quality of the print is great. Ease in use is "ok".The scanner feature is not the most friendly for my generation.The biggie "bad" feature---toner hog. I have had this about a month and already had to order more toner for both black and white and color, and I don't print that much out each day. Possibly 8-10 sheets of paper a day in black and white and maybe 2 in color.

I hate this printer. It only worked for a week. When it did it was difficult to set up. It was very slow to print. Was NOT a copy machine as promised. I hate it. Now it doesn't even work. STAY AWAY!!

Don't even accept it as a freebie (as I did) unless you are prepared to pay $1.15 per sheet for color ink. That was my experience with the first color cartridge, which was fully consumed on a total of 20 sheets, 12 of which were heavy color, the others being mixed color and text or very light color. At $17.99 per color cartridge and $14.99 for black I calculate the outrageous, obscene $1.15 per sheet figure for ink. This is about six times greater than the average ink cost for my old HP720c, which unfortunately does not work with my new HP Pavilion PC (no printer port on this model, among other issues). I have vowed to not purchase any HP product in the future if I can possibly avoid it. I just ordered a Canon Pixima to replace this ink hog. On the positive side, the print quality is good, speed is excellent, and color fidelity is fair. The software installed without incident, and the machine is easy to operate, but the HP software is overbearing and constantly trying to sell you something--worse than daytime television.

This printer is perfect for home use. It prints, copies, and scans and does a great job! I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a great printer for home use that does not take up a lot of space.
