**UPDATED 2023** Saved me from buying a new laptop
When the battery on my 4 year old HP laptop died, I tried to buy one from HP, because a shoddy battery can destroy your whole computer. Except HP no longer makes/sells the model of battery needed for my laptop (serious jerk move). So I checked their licensed vendors, and the only one that had the right battery (for >$100), wouldn’t let me return it if I opened it and had a host of other ridiculous conditions that made buying a gamble.So. Cheap ass battery from China on Amazon it was. And what do you know, it’s been absolutely perfect. It’s been two months, and I’ve had no issues. I don’t use the laptop regularly these days, so I can’t comment on the battery’s life, but it seems to be doing well when I do use it. As far as I’m concerned, it’s money well spent.**09-22-2023** After 2.5 years, this ~$30 battery appears to have bit the dust - and I’m back to buy another, because I’m not in the market for a new computer just yet. When I turned on my laptop last night, I noticed that the battery was at 0% and did not appear to be charging. This is exactly what happened with the original battery, which makes me think that while the battery itself may now be dead, the true fault is with the laptop, which is damaging the batteries in some manner. In any case, at the low cost of these batteries, 2.5 years was a pretty good return on investment, one I’m willing to make again, until I have more than occasional need for a computer. If you have an HP laptop in need of a replacement battery - especially if it’s compatible with this model - I highly recommend this product.

Good battery for low cost
My old laptop battery was on its last legs, so I decided to take a chance on this battery. I'm happy to say that it charged up to 100% in a short time. I usually leave the laptop plugged in, but once in a while I need to use it unplugged. Battery keeps 100% charge while plugged in and lasts a good couple of hours when unplugged, which is what the seller promised. So I'm pleased with the purchase, especially for the price.

Good replacement and works like original would recommend.

DO NOT BUY
The battery was working well for a couple weeks but then it died. Now the computer only works if it is plugged in. I would not recommend this product.
