Leapfrog Letter Factory Adventures: Amazing Word Explorers [DVD + Digital]

My 5-year-old son can now read letters, numbers, words, and full sentences because he started listening to these videos at age 3. They’re really engaging for children and highly educational.

A must for emerging readers.

We have almost all the leap frog videos and this one is my kids current favorite. It covers basic phonics and rhymes and story telling, I liked the animated ones better but the kids like the cgi too.

This video is a great way to help kids take a playful approach to thinking about words. Very educational movies. My 5 year old and 2 year old have learned so much from watching these leapfrog movies. Within a week or so they could tell me all the letter sounds. Leapfrog makes it very easy to remember what sounds the letter makes by making them into charters. We bought more movies.

My two year old loves all of these movies! We watch one every night before bed and she has learned so much from them. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone.

Though I don't feel any successors even compare to the original "Letter Factory", this is still a very good movie. My younger son, 3yr, especially appreciated the focus on rhyming words. I had purchased it since that was something with which we were already playing/reading. This movie really brought it to life. It's cute with a camping trip, and addressing some concerns that children may have being away, outside, overnight. As avid campers, it seemed commonplace for my guys, which added to the enjoyment. Though we rarely miss a big meteor shower, when they discussed it in the movie, it really sunk in with him. Now he's constantly pointing them out - both in the sky, as well as in other movies & apps. Overall, a great film, and pleasant enough for our entire family to 'enjoy' it. Even, his big brother, 13yr, sat through the whole movie with him - without any sighs or eye-rolling :-)

My kids have truly been growing up with all the Leapfrog series, and the result is that they are more academically advanced than most of the kids their ages. Totally worth the money spent on buying these series because it both educational and fun. This DVD is perfect for kindergarteners who have just begun learning to write and putting their thoughts together.
