Great addition to a ITX build
I recently built an ITX system and because of the side, USB ports are at a premium on the motherboard. I was looking into getting an internal USB hub to try to expand my usb ports. I was looking at this thermaltake vs the NZXT. Both of them are magnetic, but I ended up going with the thermaltake because it is SATA powered (as opposed to molex for the NZXT hub).Installation is easy, you just plug in the USB header into the mother board and plug in whatever USB header devices (such as a fan controller in my case) into the hub. Plug the sata power and you're good to go! I was able to move my mouse receiver and my headset receiver to inside my case. No issues with signal and now I have two extra ports on the back of my computer! The magnets are strong and I was able to attach the hub to the top of my case so that it is out of the way and hidden. Build quality feels solid. Highly recommend if you are strapped for USB ports or wanted to expand internal headers.

Garbage and horrible support
Device literally burned itself out the instant it was first used. Connected correctly to a test system (thankfully) and powered on, immediately shot sparks and let out the magic blue smoke from one of the 10 pin header side. No damage to the motherboard but unfortunately destroyed the two regular USB devices (type A) I had connected to it. Called TT support, absolutely no help, misdirected me to their website to start a return. This device is not even listed as an item to begin the return, no part number found to match. Would have appreciated a replacement as it was likely just a manufacturing fault but that does not appear to be possible.

This thing is a joke
It never worked so I RMA it. But even if it did, it still wouldn't have worked for my build. The computer has to already be on for it to function, which is a problem for some USB devices like what's in my build. The blue light was on, but none of the ports worked, and it only used 4 out of the 9 USB wires to connect to the USB port. I bought this instead [ https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B079CBQ11Q/?coliid=IL2DBWYSMEGM7&colid=YHNDEWDSPK1P&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it ]And so far so good.
