There is Something Magical about using a product that is exactly the same as the one used by people from a different corner of the world hundreds (!) of years ago! The Soap bar is Chunky, so note to the Makers: “Could you please cut your bar into 4 pieces so it fits comfortably in my hand? :) and don’t waste extra paper packaging the smaller pieces, as long as it fits evenly, it can be sold in the same packaging. The ingredients are plant based so it feels luxurious and yet there is no distinct fragrance about this Soap except that your skin feels fresh and clean and soft after your shower.. God Bless the people who are preserving their ancient legacy and connecting people to a simpler time! Soap has a subtle scent to it. Doesn't smell bad in any way. Used it for the first time and I have to say that it works very well. Left my skin feeling so soft after a little lotion. Softer than usual. The size of the bars are decent. The look of the soap is also quite nice. Do not use for hair as I learned the hard way. I washed my scalp with it and left my scapl dry. Left my hair absolutely dry and crispy. But other than the hair incident , the soap is absolutely worth buying. 👍

The soap has a a strong smell that is wonderful to my nose. The soap is no nonsense and great for itchy skin. The pieces are huge. Made the same way in the Middle East for generations. Thank you for making an excellent product the old fashioned way and all natural

This soap is pure olive oil and pure bay laurel oil. It may smell different than what you are used to, but it speaks to the purity. Just a few ingredients and no artificial or irritating perfumes. (My sis said it smells like fresh latex paint, and I do see what she is saying, but I do not find it unpleasant at all.) It feels really good on the skin and in the bathtub. Not like you are sitting in chemicals. I also use it for shaving since it lathers well and the olive oil helps the razor to glide and the laurel oil acts as an antiseptic agent.

Love the soap. Love the aroma. Label says it's made in Turkey, not Syria. Could be due to the civil situation in Syria? Package and contents are much lighter than 14 ounces too.

Smell really good!The size of the soap is bigger than I thought!And it helps with the oil in my face!!

I have a hard time with soaps. My skin is really sensitive and I live in a dry climate. This smell isn't the best, but it doesn't stay. My skin feels soft and clean after using this soap. I wish I had seen this stuff when I had psoriasis. You can't beat something that has been around for 2000 years. I'm sticking with it and will recommend to any that has sensitive skin. Ever since I switched to soaps that don't have sulfates and I'll let other crap in them. My skin is so much better.

The soap looked like it has been in a dry cellar for decades, shriveled up and it smelled that way too. When I tried to use it the first time, oh my gosh, it stank so bad. There was no softness or natural about it. I had to send it back. I still gag when I think about it.
