Oxford Handbook of Emergency Medicine (Oxford Medical Handbooks)

Very useful
A concise how-to of medicine, covering much more than typical home medical books. It's presumably intended as a study book for medical students or practitioners, but it provides useful background info for home medicine. To my untrained eye it looks like the information is accurate and complete and would be trustworthy in a medical emergency.I have it to hand as an essential tool against the day they drop the Big One. That day seems to be getting ever closer.Highly recommended.

All The Important Subjects in Reasonable Detail
I like this Emergency Medicine textbook, and will occasionally use it as a quick reminder of subjects which I do not come across so frequently in the department. My main reason for buying the paper version was to see the full index of subjects. I couldn't decide whether to get the ebook without seeing a full list of subjects covered. Rather unusually, this textbook has it's index of subjects covered at the beginning of each chapter. That meant that the 'Look Inside' section of the book (both paper & eBook) didn't show the full index.Having seen the index, I was satisfied with the level of detail, and so I bought the eBook version. For the benefit of others considering buying this book, I am attaching photos of each chapter index, so you can see which subjects are covered.
