I usually have a fairly large can next to/under my desk at home. This is because I spend a LOT of time at my desk and as such also throw a lot of things away while sitting there.I had a Sterlite that had been with me for many years, but it was rather thin and didn't hold up well. After several encounters with duct tape, I finally decided to find another can...preferably, something more durable this time.After searching for several hours I came across this item. I have much smaller versions ON my desk, given to me by vendors over the years and used almost exclusively for pencils and pens. I was much impressed with the pen holder version and decided to give this a try - they had it in the right size and ready to ship so I ordered it.I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and it was EXACTLY like the pencil holder version, only sized to fit under my desk. It was sturdy, colorful, fit the trash bags perfectly (no more bulldog clips to hold the bag on), and fit right in the spot my old one left.Aside from being super tough, some other things impressed me about this item; the 13Gal bags fit like a glove and stay in place with no effort at all --- the handles are big and comfy, even if I have something heavy in there I don't worry about cutting or hurting my hands --- there are 'bag holders' next to the handles, which can be a bit confusing at first, but once you figure them out you won't go back to a can that doesn't have them --- this can is slightly wider and somewhat shorter than my last one, so it sits firmly on the floor with almost no chance of being knocked over.If you are looking for a can that is super-duty (and if you include the optional lid) in this rare size, that can do almost anything safely and easily, I would highly recommend this one.

Tough little can. I bought it for dog poo pick up. I had to buy the lid separately but I found one by the same manufacturer and it fits perfectly.

No more nosy dogs in my house. It sits at the end of the kitchen island despite all her hidden compartments for garbage cans. I come home with a bag of oysters, shuck and serve and slide ‘em off the edge. Couple of beers on the back porch with her and they’re dropped. She blows up the kitchen trying to bake something, straight off the island. It’s wonderful. And a standard 13 gallon bag. No lid. No dog. Perfection.

I have two of these now. I bought one for my spouse's office, to be used as a trash can, and then I bought another, with lid, to use to store unused potting soil on my patio. It does the trick in both cases. I like that it's durable and a good size.

I bought this Rubbermaid BRUTE 10-gallon trash can about 5 years ago, and it’s still in excellent condition. It’s truly heavy-duty and built to last — I’ve kept it outdoors the entire time with no cracks or major wear. Initially, I used it to collect glass bottles, but I found it a bit too small for that purpose. Now I use it for storing my rabbit’s wooden shavings, and it works perfectly for that.It didn’t come with a lid — I had to buy the cover separately, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, this is a solid, reliable container great for various uses around the yard or home. It is heavy and sturdy enough to stay in place with wind blowing it away. Very easy to snap the cover on and off.

Perfect for what I needed it for. But before you order just remember it is only a10 gallon trash can.

Having a trashcan on wheels is very convenient. Unfortunately, having a workbench that's low to the ground is also very convenient, and because of how I designed my workbench, I wouldn't be able to fit any other size of trash can under it without giving up the wheeled base. So I needed use this bin, and I needed to find a dolly that I KNEW would fit it, which is not offered on Amazon.I ended up needing to buy one from Uline, which ran me $56, and also had miserably expensive shipping. Considering that I've seen the bins themselves for as low as $18.97, this was a tough pill to swallow, but it was basically the only option if you want wheels, because again, STANDARD WHEEL BASES WILL NOT FIT the 10 gallon can.Once I had the bin and the dolly, I was pleased to find that they're both indestructible. Very heavy duty. Almost all of the weight is at the bottom, so there's no risk of it tipping over, which is also nice. The black plastic and painted black dolly also match well and the two fit together snugly, so I really don't have much to complain about with how they function or look.Know that you'll have to do something to keep the can on top of the dolly if you pull it by the handles, though, because it's only sitting onside of it rather than screwing in. There are many ways to fix this (I put a worn out brake pad in the bin, between the bottom of the can and the trash bag, which worked extremely well, but if you really wanted to you could improvise a way of properly attaching the bin to the dolly), and it shouldn't be hard to figure out.The major disappointment is cost. Yeah, this setup works very well, but it was a pain to find the right dolly and it all feels much, much more expensive than it should be. Hopefully this either saved someone some trouble or at least gave them a better idea of what they'll need to get into if this is what they need.
