Can humans and dogs hear it?

Switching it on and off in his location he has never reacted to him. At times he has laid down right next to it. Two humans in house and doesn't bother either of us. Very first sound I heard this morning sounded like a neighbours fire or CO alarm. Recognised the noise like a HF Radio background with a bit or morse code. Investigation proved the batteries (3AA) were flat and they really were when when tested. No indication before that battery strength was fading. Don't know how long this alarm would have sounded for but changed batteries and after first few seconds it silenced. That was the first time after 6 months of purchase I ever heard any audible alarm sounding.

How long does it take to work ?

The repeller by itself could take up to 28 days to start working to its full effect (this is because rodents can be stubborn to get rid of if they have already nested in your home, as that’s where their ‘scent’ is, and it might take a for them to fully leave, but they will realise and associate that your home is now a discomfort to them, and they will move out. Please ensure you are using no bait as well, and that there is no obvious food source available for them, as this will entice the rodents back in. Do i need more than one

I don't think these work. I have 2 (a friend gave me one) but we still get mice-have trapped 5 in last 24 hours!

Why can I hear it when it’s plugged in?

Because it's not very good. Mine was fine at first and I could only hear it when I pressed the test button. After around 2 weeks, I could hear a high-pitched sound from the repeller constantly. My solution was to leave it switched on whilst I was at work or in another room so that the noise wouldn't bother me - it shouldn't have been necessary but it did get rid of the rodents (and saved me the trouble of returning the product).
