Merytes Laptop Cooler with Mini Portable USB Cooling Fan and Air Extracting Vacuum Speed Adjustbale Silence for Laptop

I was looking around at more efficient laptop coolers as the one I purchased before was very innaffective at cooling where the computer was actually getting hot, I came across these ones that actually suck the hot air out of your computer rather than trying to blow cool air at it which I thought makes MUCH more sense. I decided to go with this one as it was half the price of similar styles with the same rating and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality. My laptop used to get so incredibly hot after just a few hours that it would spontaneously turn off from the heat, it would be so hot that the display port metal could singe your leg as it is right on where the fan is. After installing this fan correctly I have had it on and running for about 7 hours now on High Performance mode on a flat surface and it is operating cooler than it ever has before, the internal fan (when your laptop all of a sudden starts being loud) used to kick into gear almost instantly after starting any game or doing tasks, now it no longer does. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I would recommend this cooling fan to anyone who is looking for one. Dont waste your time with the flat ones that sit underneath they dont work even a quarter as good as this one.

Got this to help ease my laptop from getting overheated. Came earlier then expected by a day. Packaged nice and safe inside a box with air pouches. upon opening the box everything that was suppose to be there was. Now I had read reviews and people were saying it had hard to understand instructions well I read them and totally understood them it has four different rubber head to pick from of course check each one to see what works best for your laptop. By this I mean look at your laptop and turn it to the side the vent is on pick the best fit and coverage of the side vent. Then simply attach the rubber vent cover to the fan and set your laptop on a level surface take off the tape on the fan lip and press to attach it to you laptop. Plug it in turn it on and done SIMPLE. I also read that it was loud well it is about as loud as the other USB mini fan I had sitting beside my laptop and that is with it turned all the way to high which is what I want to ensure the inside heat gets outside you can turn it down if it suits your needs over all a great product. It does what it is intended to do keep the laptop cool.

I've had this Merytes Laptop Cooler for a month now and fire it up primarily when playing graphic intensive games 2-4 times a week. This product does it's job well: I've had no more overheating issues. I took off one star because the double sided tape supplied does not stick to the bottom of the laptop well causing the cooler to slide out and separate from the laptop after a few days, I put some higher quality double sided tape and haven't had issues since. Some say this cooler is loud, and it is slightly louder than expected; definitely louder than the laptop's fan but not as loud as a 16 inch house-fan, if that's any indication. Neither of these faults are deal breakers and for less than $15, I would recommend it.

I had this less than a week before it started making weird noises. Sometimes it quits making that noise after a few minutes by its self and occasionally a light tap will stop it and some of the time it will go on like that for hours(I just turn it off then). A small piece broke off from the inside after a short fall (less than the length of the usb cable attached to my laptop) and once I fished it out, I found it to be very brittle, so a lot cheaper plastic for the internal components. However, at the end of the day, this unit replaced a slightly more expensive onn cooling pad that crapped out after 4 months. It also does a far superior job of cooling and at 7 months is still going strong, If it lasts a year I consider it money well spent.

The feeling of utter disparity you get when your laptop fan starts dieing is horrible. This happened to me recently. This fan has kept the amazing laptop alive like the others didn't. I am using it on my hp pavilion dv6. It works better when the normal battery is being used so it can sit flat on the table rather than the big I think it's 9 cell battery that elevates it slightly. The blue silicone pieces line up great though the adhesive doesn't work the best it's okay as long as you have it lined up with the vent. It's a true laptop saver in my case.

this did not stick or fit on the side of my hp pavilion laptop.the stickers that came with it do not stick to the blue parts.they stick to the laptop but you need those blue parts to stick to the laptop using the stickers and since the stickers dont stick to the blue parts,that makes this thing almost useless.also it has no suction to take out the hot air.i put my finger against it and felt no suction.it does blow out a lot of cool air though on the other side.so i turned it around and let it blow cool air on my laptop and that seems to help it stay cool.but it doesn't do the job of sucking out hot air like it's supposed to.

I have always used a cooling device with my laptops- electronic devices will live longer with the temperature kept under control- I had been using the pad type coolers, but they change the angle of the keyboard, and on some the laptop slides off- this is a cute little device that does a good job- and at this price its surprising, but the fan speed is adjustable-One caveat- it cools but sucking air OUT of your laptop, not blowing air in- so if it is not reasonably well tight against your vent, all you will be doing is moving room air around. If it were blowing air IN, this gasket would be less important- but is comes with a few different pieces of rubber, and I had no trouble matching mine up- IF you do not have a side or rear vent about 3-4inches long, this will not fit your laptop-

This is the second one I purchased. It arrived in (I assume) Amazon's new plastic bag packaging, which I like, however, unlike the first time, it did not include instructions nor the sticky tape pieces that I received with the first one. Not a big deal for me - it is pretty intuitive and I did not use the earlier tape, but I thought potential buyers should be aware. It does a good job and I like the ability to control the speed, and reduce the noise.
