What is the spacing of the weights?

I am not sure because I added a bunch of weights to keep it tight to the bottom. Where I use it I was having trouble with the minnows getting out of the bottom.

depends on the size you bought mine is 4'x12'x1/4'' holes.

This is a flat net with poles that you scoop minnows.

does this slide onto poles and can I order the poles?

It actually ties to the poles. You can order the poles but they are a little pricey. I was sort of disappointed when I saw them. I think 1 inch PVC with holes drilled in it would work as well or better (and much cheaper).
