Q: when lying flat on a tabble what is the clearance from glass to table and is it the same on both sides? Tnx Kay 101623

It is the same on both sides. But it's hard to measure. The band around the glass is only 1/2 inch, and the glass obviously has to bulge in the middle, so I'd guess the glass is 1/4" thick and that leaves 1/8" from the table on each side.

No but The 3x is barely noticeable in size of item viewing. If you want a real magnification get the 10x. If you want a slight magnification the 3x will work. Also you can order both and compare for yourself then return one. Returns with Amazon are very easy.
