Small but excellent taste and worth every penny!
I do not even like fruit cake and I think this is delicious. One small slice with evening tea makes the perfect bedtime snack. I think it is made with candied cherries and pineapple with lots of nuts without any of that awful tasting citron. I think that is the difference.I had their fig cake and loved it so just tried this as a lark and I was very surprised.Yes it is very small and it seems expensive because of that. But I think it's worth every penny.I store it in the refrigerator tightly wrapped in heavy duty foil and it stays moist and is very dense.I read here another satisfied buyer soaked her cake in brandy before enjoying. I will try that with the next one I buy. It will add yet another dimension.I'm guessing the kids won't even want to taste this. I would not have gotten anywhere near it when I was a kid.

Worth the price!
The media could not be loaded. This cake is small but dense. Loaded with nuts and fruit! Deliciousness! A small slice goes a long way. The price is high but so is the quality! Would make a great gift for anyone who loves fruitcake!

First Prize for Worst Fruitcake Ever!
My mouth was actually salivating for fruitcake because it's been years since I had one. I found it too dry, a lot more dates than other fruits, could not taste the butter. When I got it home, I opened it immediately. Did not know it was 2 small cakes and not one regular sized loaf. I sliced it, took a bite, immediately spit it into a napkin. I put the cake back in the one open box and prepared to return it. Little did I know that once I spent $30 for the cake, whether it was palatable or not, they cannot be returned. So I am forced to make a contribution to the monks whether I do so voluntarily or not. A real raw deal and I am extremely disappointed. I am retired on a fixed income. Allowed myself this splurge. Once again, I am still not in receipt of a wonderful fruitcake I can enjoy

Excellent taste
I gave this as a Christmas gift and the recipient said it was the best tasting fruit cake they ever had. It wasn't dry or hard. It was a little pricey but after hearing their reaction I say it was worth it.

Tastes good.... but it is TINY!!!
Look carefully at the photo of the product. It is an actual photo of the WHOLE product... i.e. it's not a small loaf but rather a tiny loaf. It is a perfect square... i.e. only as long as it is wide. Not rectangular. It is tasty, rich but was a tiny bit dry for my taste.Perhaps next year I will just get the larger round cookie tin shaped ones for (in Dec 2024) just under $50.

Delicious
This is a delicious fruit cake. Rich and dark with a blend of tasty flavors. It is small and pricy but worth it.

Excellent Fruitcake
I received the fruitcake quickly, and it's delicious!, thank-you! It's not too sweet but is still very rich, so a little goes a long ways. And it's wonderfully nutty. A new favorite.
