I saw Blackhawk Down too...
Ya it works, yeah it holds up. Screws are kinda long and the plate is a bit soft. Holds up well tho. You got to grind the plate down if you want it to fit under the FSGB otherwise its good to go on almost any barrel.

DOES NOT FIT ON .410 GA
Saw another review saying this would fit on a .410 GA, which is what I was getting it for. Does not fit, screw a just short enough for none to reach the opposite plate. Construction seems fine, fairly cheap but you get what you pay for. Might just put it on something else. Would have appreciated more info on what sizes this fits in the description or images, but I guess at the end of the day I was just too lazy to measure myself lol.Update: I just got some longer screws and it works just fine now.

Great Little mount
I use this to mount a light on a Ruger 10/22. That rifle has no mounting options by itself other than on top of the receiver. This worked out perfectly. I was able to adjust it to exactly where I wanted It, mounted the light and tested it. The set up came out just the way I had thought in my head when I was putting it together. For a .22 set up works great, I probably would not use it for any higher caliber, but I think if you keep it within its design parameters, you’ll be fine.The only thing to watch out for that I’ve learned with these type of units is do not over tighten the screws they can strip out.

I DID HAVE TO PURCHASE 4 LONGER ALLEN BOLTS ( 5 MM X 20 MM ) $1.49 EACH, MY BARREL IS 20 MM IN DIAMETER !!!!!

Bolts were too short for my 0.71 in barrel
If the bolts had been longer, it would have worked. May be OK for a 10/22 or something similar.

Made for smaller diameter barrels. like .22's. Screws it came with arent long enough for larger barrels.

Well I needed this to finish off my Type 81 build and was super happy to buy it. Item arrived with a very bent off center mount plate and is shorter then the photo?!?Not sure if this was a return but it's going back. BUYER BEWARE
