I use this fan in my bedroom because I need a fan to sleep. I get too hot during the night and simply cannot sleep unless there's a fan blowing cool air in my face. Even in the depth of winter do I need a fan!This fan is easy to install and comes with a remote control. I am a bit miffed at the control being infrared rather than radio, which means I have to aim exactly right to turn it off, which is not always easy, especially when you're groggy with sleep.The fan remembers the last used settings, so that's a great feature. It can only oscilate left to right or not at all. I do sometimes want it to oscilate up/down so it's a shame that it doesn't have that.The speeds are satisfactory.I'm not sure if it is very loud because I always sleep with earplugs in. My earplugs take away roughly 35dB. When the fan is running at its fastest speed I hear the noise a tiny teensy bit, so I guess it makes about 33dB of noise, which is fine by me.
