I need a rather wide plastic tube, 5 mm total in diameter, is this one wide enough?

This looks like a normal pen refill. Not 5 mm diameter.

Has anyone been able to find these in red ink?

I couldn't find the Pilot refills in red and switched to Zebra Pen Z-Grip Retractable Pens. I like these a lot better. They write really smooth. You can buy the pens in a pack of three colors, red, blue, and black or buy them separate. I definitely like the Zebra pens better. Hope this helps.
