SoundstreamAC.6 Arachnid Component 6.5" 2-Way 300W Speaker Set

I received my speakers once I open them I found out the grills were broken. Speaker sound good and tweeters too

Was looking for a drop-in replacement for an older set of components with blown tweeters in my front doors. Chose these as they were the cheapest Prime option with a proper 2nd order crossover network (most at this price use an inline filter on the tweeter only). Drivers seem low-cost but present fairly well (pros: paper cone and nice phase plug, cons: cloth surround, stamped basket). Tweeters are 1" silk-dome and come with plenty of mounting options. I did open up the crossover and found proper meaty-looking caps and inductors, which was nice to see. Grills...went straight in the bin (sorry).No surprises on the install. Sound is surprisingly balanced. Highs are smooth and non-fatiguing, and upper vocals are good too. However, I find these drop off pretty substantially around ~120Hz. YMMV of course, and some more break-in time and/or door treatment might help. Make sure you've got strong bass elsewhere, because you likely won't get it here. Overall no doubt worth the purchase price, but if the mid-bass doesn't pick up I may find I'm swapping these out sooner than expected.

My biggest concern was the box was not taped shut some how they made it to me with out damage but maybe shipper should tape the boxes shut?!Sound good for what they are magnet is small xmax is short and very little base better then my blown stock speekers tweeters are bright will be adding a dsp to controll it better.

These speakers look good in person, sound good for the price. These replaced my factory paper speakers that weren't working 100%. They are a bit on the cheaper side for looks and sound,, so don't expect much. I give them a 7 out of 10 for sound and are worth the 60$CA I paid. I wouldn't pay more then that. Mine came with no instructions and the wrong mounting screws for the tweeters and missing one of the two sided mounting tape. I believe it was an open box or sent back and then resold by amazon maybe. I also wish that the grills covered the full circumference of the woofer as it would look better.
