Goodyear Folding Bead Cruiser Bike Tire, 26 x 2.125, Black

It’s a good year which shows in the design and product. Overall very good for recreational riding.

Aperentry the manufacturer sent Amazon 2 distinctly different tires with the same part number. Either tire is fine, but you may get one of each like I did; only one has the "aqua channel", so if that is important or if you want your tires to match I suggest messaging Amazon to check this before they ship order. I had already installed the non aqua channel tire on my bike before I noticed the diffrence, so I requested Amazon replace the other with a matching one, which they did. I asked the rep to report the mix match tire problem to management, so they can sort them and avoid further mix-ups. If you have any experience changing tires this one is easy to install. Put the wheel with tire in channel at bottom on your knee and work your way up with one hand on either side of wheel, keeping tension on the lower mounted part as you work your way up until your hands meet at the top. I can easily mount the 26" tires with my hands only, vastly reducing the probability of pinching the tube. As with any bicycle tire you must use extreme care when pressurizing tire to make shure the part of tire that locks onto the wheel is properly seated, otherwise the tire may pop off of the wheel and the inner tube will blow out. Do not put any lubricant on tire or wheel. Put in a little pressure at a time, rolling the tire on the ground while putting your weight on it as you do before increasing pressure. Do this and visually inspect tire between intervals and you will be good. I assign 5 stars for wear because they give me the impression they will be good.

UPDATE2: I have over 5300 miles on one of the tires now! It is my front tire on my heavy e-bike while I switched my rear tire to a bigger tire (Maxxis Hookworm). The Goodyear tire has really impressed me, very good value for the price.UPDATE: I have over 4000 miles on the pair and they are still going strong! I have rotated them once, so each tire has been on the rear wheel. I commute to work on a heavy e-bike, and I am 190lbs, and I have had zero problems with these tires handling the weight. Best value tire I have had so far for my e-bike.These tires are fine for the price so far. I have 200 miles on them currently, and I am looking for the rear tire to get more than 1700 miles total, which would make it a better bargain than my last tire (Schwinn 1.95 inch cruiser tire). I hope to update my review in a couple of months once I hit 1700 miles or so.These tires were very easy to fit onto my rims, they almost seemed too loose until I inflated the tubes.

Just received and installed tire today. This is a folding bead tire which allows it to be shipped in a small box. Bike shop told me wire bead is stronger than folding but i would not anticipate any bead problem unless you run air pressure too high. Recommended pressure according to sidewall info is 35psi or max 65 which is unnecessary unless you are over 400 lbs perhaps. I am pleased with how much easier the bike rolls as that was my goal, to replace mountain knobby tread with less aggressive tread. Tread design modeled after Goodyear aquatread which has a treadless groove center so it actually contacts the road at 2 points 3/4 inch apart which gives the balance an uncertain feel. There should rather be a rib on center as bikes generally don't hydroplane on wet roads.

Extremely affordable, incomparably easy to install, rolls very smoothly on pavement, and has no trouble supporting my 325-pound self. That's about all anyone can ask for in a tire.I saw a lot of reviews mentioning how hard it is to install. I had zero issues: no heat gun, no leaving it out in the sun, no lubing the rim, or any other such silliness.I've mounted bikes and immediately given bikes pinch flats before, destroying tube and tire. I'm fat. Like really fat. These tires didn't squirm, squeak, flatten, or deform at all. I have these tires inflated to 60psi (max is 65) and I've hopped curbs, plowed through potholes, and ridden down stairs.I have these on 20mm wide (26"/ISO 559) rims, but I'm sure these would fit on much wider rims as well.

Great replacement for the beach cruiser, which somehow picked up a nail through it and needed replacement. The tire comes folded, which was challenging trying to "shape" it to put it back on the rim. I found myself watching some youtube videos to make sure I had the right tire and there wasn't anything different about beach cruisers. I recommend shaping the tire back into a circle and maybe walking away for 10 minutes and letting it sit like that - might hold shape better when you go to put it on the rim. Overall though, great price and it's holding up well.

Bought two of these at the same time. Arrived on time and as expected but each with a different tread, not an issue. Because these are outfitted with Kevlar beads, as opposed to wire, they were hard to mount on the rims. I had to use ty wraps (3) to secure them to the rims until the last bit of circumference was mounted then they could be removed. Worked great to replace 26 x 2.35 Electra balloon tires.

Perfect size, makes the bicycle handle great. Just like the original tires of the 1960’s. Great to have the bicycle roll into the corners. Just like Schwinn engineered it to have. “Fresh rubber”.
